Fun, friendly and efficient! I highly recommend eating breakfast at the Hilton Carlton while in Edinburgh. We had absolutely the best service by “David” as our host for five days.
David went out of his way to assist us with our many questions during our stay.

Noisy, I could hear a humming noise in the early hours. The lack of lifts. There should be staff lifts, customers should not have to share lifts with large cleaning containers that take up space.

To był jeden z najgorszych hoteli jakich doświadczyłam - zwłaszcza za taką cenę. Rozumiem, że Edynburg jest ogólnie drogi, ale cena 5700 za 4 noce w hotelu, w którym cały czas nie działała winda i trzeba było chodzić na 3-4 piętro schodami, także z walizkami - obłożenie hotelu było tak duże, że czasami czekało się paręnaście minut na windę. Przeżyłam też surrealistyczną sytuację - przyjechałam w nocy do hotelu bo opóźnił mi się lot. O 1.30 w nocy obsługa nie mogła zrobić check in - na początku nie wiedziałam czemu, bo cały pobyt był opłacony. Przez 15 minut nikt z recepcji nie mówił co się dzieje - cały czas tylko enigmatyczne rozmowy między sobą i wołanie kolejnych „menadżerów” obiektu. 3 panów z obsługi po kolei nie było w stanie wyjaśnić co się dzieje i nie odzywało się do mnie. Po tym jak zażądałam odpowiedzi wykończona po długiej podróży, dowiedziałam się że jest wyciek gazu w hotelu i muszą poczekać na straż pożarną! Nikt tego nie powiedział w ciągu 20 minut, słowem nic nie wyjaśnił, nie powiedział żadnego przepraszam. Potem łaskawie po tym jak strażacy przyjechali i czekałam na zewnątrz hotelu o godzinie 2 w nocy, wpuszczono mnie do hotelu. Nikt nawet nie powiedział gdzie iść, nie pomógł w takiej sytuacji z walizkami, odbąkiwano mi na kazdym kroku. Kolejna rzecz to że ani razu nie miałam posprzątanego pokoju podczas 4 dniowego pobytu. Dwa całe dni byłam poza pokojem i nie było żadnej wywieszki żeby nie wchodzić - pomimo tego pokój był nieposprzątany, nie było nowej wody, papieru toaletowego. Nie było też żadnej wywieszki żeby posprzątać. Śniadania - koszmar. Za taką cenę w takim hotelu spodziewałby się czegoś więcej niz bulki, sera, pomidora i jajecznicy. Nie no koszmar - nie polecam nikomu. Obsługa koszmarna, naburmuszona, nigdy więcej i szczerze zastanawiałam się nad oficjalną reklamacją

The room was large and clean, breakfast was OK, but we have had better in similar or lesser hotels.
When we checked in (at 15:00) reception could not tell us if the room was ready or not (despite stating when booked that we could check in at 15:00). It took 10 minutes or more for us to be told the room was ready.
When using the lift (right hand one) on one occasion, it stopped sharply between the 2nd and 3rd floors and the doors opened onto the inside of the lift shaft. We had to press the button to get the doors closed and for the lift to start again. When this was raised with reception, they stated that this happened occasionally. Surely for a high end hotel, this is something that should be fixed and should not be brushed off casually with guests.

Excellent central location close to Edinburgh Waverley Station and major attractions. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The lifts were very small, and during our stay only two were operational, which resulted in long waits, especially during busy times. Some areas of the hotel also felt a little dated.
A special thank you to Sahar for making my stay so much better. She was always approachable, thoughtful, and genuinely happy to help whenever I needed anything.
It's rare to come across someone who makes guests feel so comfortable and valued. Her positive attitude and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Sahar is a real asset to the hotel, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.
