BREKFAST GOOD ROOM FAIR AS I WAS IN A RENOVATED FLOOR WITH ONGOING WORKS. ALSO THE LIFTS WERE AWFUL AS ONLY I LIFT WAS OPERATIONAL. LOCATION GOOD
OBVIOUSLY AS A DIAMOND HILTON HONOURS MEMBER DID NOT GET THE PROPER UPGRADES ALSO THE POINTS BECAUSE THE BOOKING WAS MADE WITH BOOKING .COM
Location was perfect to go in every direction without climbing too many hills.
Squeaky floorboards in the bedroom!!! Other than that room was lovely.
Location is excellent, plenty of site seeing and restaurants beside this hotel. No taxis needed, walking distance from the tram.
There was construction work taking place at the hotel, it was noisy and the view from are window was scaffolding!!! Reception staff tried to over charge me, I had to correct her three times!!
Also the lifts are extremely slow and everyone was complaining about it.
An outstanding location on Northbridge and just off the Royal Mile with easy access to Waverley Railway Station. Handy for the New Town, and you are already in the Old Town. The new lounge and lobby, as well as a new breakfast room in the basement, are now open. Rooms are clean, well-appointed and comfortable, as expected from Hilton. I enjoyed having something to eat in the Herbie Mores Restaurant on the ground floor and the Executive Lounge area, and breakfast was much better than before the hotel was renovated. Yes, there is still scaffolding on the outside of the building, but I was not put off by this as much better once you get inside.
Had a great stay here, staff were very attentive especially Nick the bar supervisor, he is an asset to Hilton he had a fantastic knowledge of everything I asked him, beer, whiskey, the hotel building itself and just the history of Edinburgh in general
Location is great. Foyer open and airy. Beds very comfortable and shower was great. Could leave our luggage safely. Our room was ready for us very early from checking in time.
The twin double room was far too small for 3 sharing. Room was cold. Facilities quite poor, wardrobe tiny and needed more space and bedside until. Had to ask reception 3 times
The location is fab
Room and bathroom were spotless with great facilities for washing, had a fridge, hairdryer and iron/board. The lounge bar area was very relaxed with attentive, friendly staff we sat and had a drinks before and after our event that we had visited Edinburgh for. The breakfast area was well stocked and a comfortable place to enjoy the food (air con). Will definitely book this hotel again when returning to Edinburgh.
