I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel and its staff. After I fell while leaving for the airport from the U.S. to Lisbon, the care and kindness we received were exceptional. The team went above and beyond—lending us a wheelchair, remembering our names, bringing ice for my ankle whenever needed, making reservations, and even arranging for a doctor to visit our hotel room, switching our room for walk in shower. The list truly goes on.
U.S. hotels could learn a great deal from this level of customer service. I highly recommend staying here. You’ll likely take an Uber to most places, which is easy and convenient. I also have a spa appointment today, which I’m confident will be amazing. The restaurants have been outstanding with excellent selections, and the crème brûlée at Olivae was an absolute game changer.
Nearly zero-friction business stay at this beautiful hotel. As a shy person often intimidated by grand settings I was apprehensive. But from the time I got off the taxi the staff put me at my ease. The room was well-appointed, immaculate and comfortable; the food at all three restaurants was varied, creative and delicious; the amenities just right, including some thoughtful touches like a coffee and croissant station for guests departing too early for the breakfast buffet. The hotel is quiet and restful but not in that ghost-town way some places have of feeling abandoned. As it was a business trip I had limited opportunities to explore, though I did find out that there's a transit hub about 5 minutes' walk and a pharmacy across the street - very handy. The conference facilities were excellent and I was particularly impressed by how few technical challenges we had with microphones, projectors and connectivity. Couldn't have wished for anything better. I hope I get an opportunity to stay again on a personal trip.
