Modern
Nothing
We stayed at the hotel for Royal Ascot week. Perfect location and outstanding facilities. The SPA area is amazing.
Absolutely first class service from all of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
One family that was part of our group was delayed through their flight being delayed and they kindly accommodated this for our evening meal which was booked for a certain time.
The vegan food was amazing.
The accommodation is stunning as are the surroundings with mature trees and bronze statues. Looking forward to returning there. 😀
Staff all lovely and helpful, the grounds are beautiful and the spa/pool area wonderful
Breakfast is underwhelming for a 5*. Normally the buffet is much bigger with more selection
كل شي كان جميل ، والموظفين بشوشين
لا شي
It was in a lovely location with plenty of staff on hand to help.
We only had 2 tea bags in the room and when we asked for more they didn’t come. The shower didn’t work very well and was barely a drizzle and we paid quite a lot more to have a room with a balcony but it was quite dirty with used cigarette butts and rubbish on the fake grass which wasn’t very pleasant to look at. A little disappointed for the money that we paid.
Facilities are good
Facilities are really good but the whole set up was very average from service to the level of staff available
There’s a lot to like about the Fairmont hotel, it’s a new build, finished to a very high-quality, the staff are very friendly and the food was good. That said, for a hotel at this price point, the service really fell short and in places was incredibly poor.
An example would be the valet at the front entrance to take possession of my car, made us wait while he took a call on his walkie-talkie, and upon hearing something he didn’t like, he mumbled: “for f**k sake“ very audibly before giving me my valet ticket.
The service was incredibly slow - they seemed shorthanded on every front, especially in the kitchen. My wife and I were told to wait for five minutes in the bar whilst they get our table ready (despite our having made a reservation), and half an hour later we were still waiting. Once we had ordered, it took 45 minutes for our starters to arrive, at which point they told us the kitchen was closing at 9:30 pm so if we wanted anything else we would have to order.
Prices are exorbitant - Michelin star pricing for what is quite an ordinary hotel dining experience. Drinks prices you wouldn’t even see in a high-end bar in central London. On one morning, as we were coming down for breakfast, we were told there was a 15 minutes wait to get into the restaurant because they were so slow turning tables so we skipped it and decided to check out early around 9:30 am.
As we tried to check out, the process took 45 miles as the staff repeatedly got our invoice wrong, claiming they were charging my card £200, and then the receipt showing they had charged £1500. Several iterations of this went on until finally when it was settled, they said my car was ready out front…when in fact they had left it in a distant car park.
All small things in isolation, but put together, a poor experience. For a hotel that is trying to be at the luxury end of the market, they are highly inefficient. Most staff were poorly trained - several teenage stuff, who were being left to their own devices, and didn’t know what they were doing. Won’t be coming back and would actively warn people off.
Stunning and peaceful
This is our 4th visit to The Fairmont and it will definitely not be our last. Everything in this hotel is outstanding from the rooms to the staff to the beautiful grounds and great restaurants. We ate on the terrace, in Il Gardino and at the Windsor Brasserie. The food was incredible in all the restaurants and the staff were attentive, professional and very friendly. We would like to especially note the service provided by Hamza at Il Gardino and Amir on the terrace. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and bathrooms clean and well equipped. Thank you for another amazing stay!
Location close to Heathrow airport, the gym, the spa, and the beautiful lush green grounds.
Top quality furnishings and decor
Safe facility in room didn’t work entire stay despite reporting it twice. Kettle was also broken.
We stayed here for one night. It’s a lovely hotel, extremely comfortable beds. Food is superb in the brasserie and we really liked the staff there and in the bar. We weren’t really sure of what to make of the DJ playing in the brasserie - not our thing. I must also mention Mark on reception who was particularly good. He was very helpful and welcoming which can’t be easy all the time as it’s such a busy hotel. Some guests were getting a little stressed when trying to check in due to the queues but he kept his cool. He also very kindly helped me retrieve my purse from the safe in my room and did not make me feel like an inconvenience! I’m sure he could have done with out that.
Staff were lovely especially Mark at the front desk and the waiting staff in the bar and The Brasserie. The oof in the brasseries was especially good. Very comfortable bed and room bathroom. Lovely smell being piped in all over the hotel.
Feels like they don’t have enough people manning reception as there was quite a queue and although staff on the whole were doing their best guests really shouldn’t be waiting that long to check in.
A DJ was playing in the brasserie which was odd. We felt the thump of the music a little off putting. Not quite sure if it was an appropriate vibe…..?
