Location is excellent and (now) the lobby looks good. It was a dusty place when we were there...

Cons:

The room was tiny and the biggest thing was that the lobby was under renovation and dust was everywhere. Also-we received no warning that the lobby would be under construction and no added service-at 4 nights of this dust, you'd think we'd be offered a free drink...

Really strong value and super-clean hotel with nice comfort and great staff in the center of DC
Pros:

The staff was excellent and the room was perfectly clean and very well lit. The free bottled water was nice, and the bath amenities were very good too.

Cons:

1. The room was too warm for my taste and even at full cooling (in winter!), I couldn't get the temperature down to where I like it. I've noticed this same issue at multiple DC hotels.
2. The door to my room didn't have an automatic close function (which I thought was required), and the door only had one manual knob lock, and was sort of loose even when shut.
3. The hotel lobby was being refreshed and so there was plastic sheeting hanging throughout. There was no dust and no construction noise during my stay - so no material inconvenience - but it would've been nice to know this before I booked.

Excellent location and wonderful staff for our stay in DC!

Didn’t know renovations were being done. Turned out not to be a big deal as there was protection for dust and there wasn’t any noise in the floors where the rooms were. And obviously this won’t be a long term situation!

A good option since everything in DC is very expensive.
Pros:

The bar and restaurant in the lobby has amazing food and cocktails. Everything was delicious, but definitely pricey. Expect to pay $17ish for a good drink. All of the staff was friendly. Bathrooms in the lobby are absolutely gorgeous. Parking garage is attached to the hotel and has an elevator. I was able to come and park my car around 11 am in the garage before I checked in which was nice and it was not extra.

Cons:

Parking is $50.47 per night. The hotel is under construction, so that definitely took away from it. The rooms have not been updated in a while, but maybe that will be part of the renovations they are doing.
