Just back from a 3 night stay with friends, Brian and his staff are fantastic, guest service and experience are top of their list. The standard of the food in the restraunt is fantastic, great athmosphere in the bar in the evenings.Wonderful experience overall.
Lovely hotel, the staff were on their game, really friendly and helpful from the moment we drove into the carpark. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well sized. There's a large garden the kids explored that leads to a nearby playground on the edge of the town and a tennis court that's not in the best condition but fine for some exercise none the less. There's a champagne reception pre dinner that was a lovely touch and a talk on the history of the place and surrounding area that was really engaging. Dinner was really good even with young kids there was no issues and plenty of choice. Again the service was really good and there was a great atmosphere in the room. Will be returning
Beautiful hotel. The food was excellent and the rooms. The people are so nice the beds were comfortable. The views were incredible
Son emplacement, son ouverture sur la nature. Le côté romantique « vie de Château »
Room decor and comfort excellent and view stunning
Ambiance château très confortable
Trop de groupes bruyants
Un peu trop kitsch à mon goût.
Ruime parkeergelegenheid.
Albergo suggestivo in un contesto splendido camera ampia e pulitissima staff gentile ottima colazione parcheggio auto gratuito all’aperto

Amazing castle with stunning grounds that were beautiful to explore. They have a free wine and history talk every evening by the castle owner that was very interesting and fun. They took our picture that night and handed it to us when we checked out.
The awe inspiring location kind cheerful welcome and luggage help from Dermott lovely! The Abbeyglen orientation and town history presented in a fabulous fireside chat setting by Ronan which included a complimentary prosecco gathering amazing 15 minute guest invite by fireplace upon checkin- and keepsake photo lovely- you made eveyone feel special! The chef meals morning and night-Amazing and treasured- thank you to Ronan Brian and Dermott for an informative history and detailed map to explore the Skydrive loop and designated sights on your customized map

This was our first trip to Ireland from the U.S. and we have stayed in many wonderful hotels across the country as we traveled from Dublin to Galway on our whirlwind adventure. We chose this hotel while in the Connemara National Park area. From the moment my husband, daughter, and I arrived we were treated like we were the VIPs of the place, or even better, like we were family. The check in process could not have been smoother. We were greeted by name and showed to our room. I loved the physical skeleton-styled key! We were encouraged to attend a champagne reception prior to dinner where we were regaled with tales of the castle and history of the area presented by Rowan, a member of the family who owns and operates the castle hotel. His recounting of local lore was humorous and created a warmth we have personally never before experienced at a hotel (it helped that the staff never let our glasses become empty!). Afterwards, Rowan whisked my family and me out for a special photo shoot. We felt quite special, since it was our anniversary, although how they knew this we never discovered. After the reception we went into the restaurant for an amazing supper of locally sourced ingredients. The food was fancy, but not overly so. Waiters took care to meet our every need. Once again Rowan called attention to our 35th anniversary by presenting us with a special dessert (how DID they discover this?!?). After retiring to our room, the comfortable bed, crisp linens, and view of nature lulled us to sleep. This hotel will treat you like you’ve never been treated before. Abbeyglen Castle Hotel is a must for anyone who has plans to visit Ireland.
Super
Great menu for both breakfast and dinner served by excellent staff who are well trained. Fish, meat and vegetables are locally sourced ( we asked the question) and the taste was incredible. Highly recommend the avocado toast for breakfast, salmon for dinner followed by mothers apple pie.
Our stay was too short.
I had the pleasure of spending two nights at this beautiful hotel.
Ronan who with his brother own this property and couldn’t be more helpful during my stay.
Excellent breakfast on both mornings
Looking forward to returning soon
Wonderful experience. Great room, beautiful setting, great food and staff were warm and gracious. Felt like a princess.
