Lovely family-run castle hotel. Everything has a nice touch and you can tell they really care about their guests. The room was big, with a comfortable bed. Very friendly staff, very good breakfast, and a nice restaurant. Perfect location, about a 10-minute walk to Clifden.

Magnificent Weekend
Pros:

This was our first trip as a family to one of the very best hotels we have ever been in.

The service was without compare. Brian and Ronan are masters of their art. Breakfast, dinner and tea were absolutely wonderful.
Michelle’s flower arrangement, from her own garden, were simply beautiful.

We came with children and grandchildren, we saw and were conquered

Abbeyglen is a jewel in the west of Ireland and in particular Cliften.

Great spot, full of character
Pros:

Unique hotel, really cool vibe, short walk to town, very warm and cosy. The owners are great characters and Brian is some man on the piano. We will be back...

It was a once in a lifetime experience in Ireland to stay in a castle, it was so nice.
Pros:

The breakfast was amazing. The kitchen staff was awesome. There was a social in the evening with free bubbly and a history talk. The guy was very entertaining. We stayed 2 nights. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Not sure if anything could have been better.

The Beauty of the Property and the furniture inside the room

The lack of greeting and smile from the staff. As the rain was pouring, We asked several Times the staff if there were any indoor activities and they Said no. Then, when We wandered around the building We found some board games. But We were lacking hospitality from the team
