Calma, Naturaleza Amabilidad
Pros:

Todo. La amabilidad de todo el equipo, el restaurante, la calma que ofrece el entorno, el levantarme pronto por la mañana ver el lago, hacer una caminata por el bosque.

Pros:

We were looked after from the moment of arrival by very attentive, welcoming staff which was much appreciated after a long hike. The meals were superb and recent hotel update very tastefully done.
We don’t normally enjoy hotel stays but this was superb and we look forward to returning to this beautiful place.

Everything, the location is heavenly, the friendly reception & relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, the room & bathroom were tasteful & spacious. Idyllic views.

Cons:

I liked everything, but I think there should be more vegetarian / vegan choices in the dinner menu.

Delightful hotel in remote idyllic setting.
Pros:

The views from our room and the hotel generally were superb, and the meals were very good.

Cons:

The location, although beautiful, was a bit remote for us, and the road down to Bantry was quite slow and winding.

Traditionelles Haus in bester Lage.
Pros:

Wir haben im Juni´26 hier eine Nacht verbracht. Unser Zimmer (Doppelzimmer mit Seeblick) hatte eine wirklich tolle Aussicht. Das Restaurant des Hauses ist hervorragend. Ebenso ist die Frühstücksqualität und Auswahl hervorzuheben.
Die umgebende Landschaft bietet wirklich an, erkundet zu werden. Wenn das Wetter (so wie bei unserem Aufenthalt) mitspielt, reiht sich ein Fotomotiv ans nächste. Die Parkplatzsituation für die Gäste ist optimal.

Cons:

Unser Zimmer war etwas klein und hatte zu wenig Ablagefläche. Ebenso ist das Alter des Hauses in den Räumen erkennbar. In Relation zum Zimmerpreis waren wir daher nicht sehr überzeugt. Sicherlich bezahlt man die landschaftlich tolle Lage hier mit.

Everything was perfect and we look forward to visiting Gougane Barra again very soon
Pros:

This place is a magical and beautiful place, you can feel the history in the air, especially inside the incredible small church. This is a must place to visit and if you stay in the Hotel you will enjoy great food and wonderful hospitality from Neil and Katy. We would never visit Cork without staying here at least one night

From the moment you arrive, the staff and hosts couldn’t do enough for you . Their attention to detail and their warmth was evident. The breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent. Not to mention the location itself - stunning

Can’t beat the location for lake views and serenity
Pros:

Our 3rd stay and won’t be our last. The hotel is located in a truly magical place and we never tire of the lake views.
Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The fact is is exceptional and we would definitely recommend having dinner here. Very tasty, local food with a good choice.
