Great location for a hotel when traveling solo or with family! We love the restaurant on site and the staff is always pleasant! We've stayed at this hotel at least 6 times and each time the service has been great!
One time I stayed and found a backpack by the back door--the staff found out who it belonged to and was able to get it to the individual! That's great detail to service!
Whenever we've stayed (per our Bonvoy status) our room has been upgraded! We can count on a quiet stay and a clean room. Side-note: they have the best bathtubs for our children to use when we travel!
The rooms are spacious; the atmosphere is relaxing; and it offers a great value per the location! The malls around the location make it great for last minute finds and for leisure shopping!
**Only issue we have ever had was our bill being wrong (double charged). Once we called they have apologized and made the changes immediately.** --We are guessing it was a new staff member error.
Location was alright. That it.
Manger was rude. Build was old. Over priced. No pool no suitable for children. Would like my money back. Even customer service through booking could not help with any issues. Wanted to cancel room but was forced to stay and or pay.
Good Location
If you book a room for 4 with breakfast, only two will receive breakfast - $27 vouchers. Not mentioned anywhere on booking!
Sometimes there is a buffet breakfast, sometimes not. And if you have to order breakfast off the menu (which takes much longer - not ideal if you have to go to work) because there is no buffet, an omelet+ cappuccino cost you more than the voucher and you have to do the stupid ask for bill, get bill, credit card, sign for tip game.
Delicious
Nothing
Everything was wonderful except our 2nd Dining experience at the Toasted Oak. We had a waitress that didn’t seem like she wanted to be our waitress.
She came over with an indifference attitude. Gave me 1 cup of coffee and never checked if I needed a refill. Gave me a burnt English muffin. When the bill was due she decided to be polite then thinking I was going to give her an additional tip. I tipped her accordingly to her service. I did give a generous tip to the waitress that came over to refill my coffee who just did it because she realized what was going on. We will stay at the Baronette again. Special recognition to Kim at the check in desk that treated us well during our stay. Naturally pleasant and welcoming.
Clean and well organized
The price for $256 for 1 night
I gotta say, I was a bit surprised, perturbed at my experience at The Barronette. While I was looking forward to it being an overall success, I must say that there were many unfortunate shortcomings. Including the endgame by management themselves.
First and foremost I arrived at almost midnight, so it was late and I get that. However, I would like to think that’s enough time for (Housekeeping) to clean the room in an adequate manner. However, I was greeted to hair all in the shower drain and toilet seat (see attached pics ). There were also long strands on the towels that room service had to bring because….well….when we got to the room, there was only one of each towel. Unfortunately, that’s not all….
The next morning we go downstairs to the Oak Tavern. The hostess, who I later found out was named Juliette, was EXTREMELY rude to us when we asked to sit in another spot than the one that she picked for us to sit at. I’m happy to go into detail, but to sum it up:
- The spot she picked was near the entry where there was a bachelorette party happening.
- The table and the long booth were filthy with crumbs (as well as two of the silverware).
- When I brought it up to her, she literally (I kid you not) gave us all a “are you f—-ing kidding me”
- She then says, “I want you guys to sit here.” I reply, “but we just told you we don’t.”
-She again gave me a blank stare, then rolled her eyes and said “ OK I guess I better find out if ‘they’ are willing to serve you in the section next to this one.”
- After we got seated she continue to give me in particular rude, glaring stares and roll her eyes again.
Now it’s important to note that our waitress Jill did a phenomenal job, but Juliette really did leave a sour taste in her mouths.
NOTE: although one of the waitresses said the hostess’ name was Juliette, she can be described as a burnette with a white shirt with black pants.
Lastly , while sleeping through the night, we weren’t sure what was going on, but it seemed as if the AC kept going in and out. It was so uncomfortable we kept waking up in sweats.
Nothing else happened after this entire event. We went back to our rooms, we checked out and left a Hotel shortly afterwards. I immediately wrote a manager named Nancy. Now this is where I must admit, that got initially got excited. I thought the situation was going to get better. Nancy saw my email and immediately called me. When I explained the situation to her, she was very apologetic and professional. She could not have been nicer. However, this is the reason why I cannot give this place anything better than three stars. I do not know what it is with the hospitality sector these days with not refunding guests their money after a horrendous stay. Instead of her doing the right thing and saying, “… for this entire ordeal, we would like to refund you.” She decided to just give me a measly 5000 points. This is unacceptable. I even mentioned that to her on the phone. She went ahead and kept doing what she was doing. That’s a problem. So all those leads me to believe that the entire place needs a lot of work. From Housekeeping, to the restaurant, to even management. At this time, I cannot recommend the Baronette to anyone.
Great place. Easy to find off the highway. The staff was incredibly nice. The room was clean and quiet.
Very average given it's carrying a Renaissance brand.
The property is clean but shows some age.
There is no lounge, so Marriott elites are allowed some complimentary snacks in the lobby.
As a Marriott Ambassador, this property never provides any upgrades. I avoid unless I absolutely must, given that others offer better service.
I was stayed in two different rooms and they both had issues
It was all good.
Way too expensive, compared to what is on offer.
