A Magnificent 18 Days

Everything and everybody at this well located and well appointed hotel proved to be MAGNIFICENT! The receptionists welcome each guest so warmly; it's the first hint of the exceptional service provided by every employee encountered by us during our 18 nights stay. William, the personable manager, has hired a truly professional staff with smiles on every face as excellent service is being offered to each guest. This was our 6th visit to Edinburgh and one of our longest stays so we were really impressed with the service and amenities such as glass bottled still or sparkling water, cans of Irn Bru, and Kit Kats replenished daily! To enhance our room enjoyment Neal who heads maintenance offered to move our sofa to a more desirable location for viewing television-what a lovely idea that enabled our enjoyment in the evenings when wind and rain prevented venturing outdoors! The neighborhood has great pubs and restaurants which are reasonably priced and friendly atmospheres. Definitely we have found our home away from home at this very well -managed hotel! Thank you, William, we shall return!

Good spot in central Edinburgh
Pros:

Room was great. It is an old hospital so the hallways have an interesting vibe. It's a little bit of a walk (10-15 min) from the castle and surroundings, which we didn't mind but be aware. That makes the room bit quieter.
