Fabulous location
Pros:

We were only there for one night to attend a Burns Supper in Canary Wharf. Great location. Beautiful views from the hotel room overlooking the river and pool. Staff were very helpful. Our room was spotless and a great size. The access to Virgin active next door was fabulous. Wonderful pool and spa facilities.
We took the Thames Clipper to London Bridge The next day which is right beside the hotel.

Cons:

The breakfast included option was limited. Would have liked more choice.

I ended up at this hotel only because the one I usually go to was fully booked. I don’t even know where to start.
0 - This does not look like a five-star hotel. In France, this would have been considered a three-star hotel back in the 1970s. Today I have no idea.

1 - Misleading facilities information — The lift signage and front-desk staff indicated that the hotel’s fitness club and pool were located on the 2nd floor and open to guests. On arrival I found the facility closed and was told by reception it was open. I later discovered the “fitness club” and pool are not hotel facilities at all but a crowded third-party gym used via a partnership. This is misleading and unacceptable for a hotel advertised as five-star.

2 - Heating failure — My room remained uncomfortably cold for over 3 hours after check-in. Reception admitted the heating/air-conditioning system is old and that it takes a long time to switch from cold to warm — an explanation that does not excuse the prolonged discomfort.

3 - Fire alarm evacuation at 03:12 — In the early hours I was abruptly awakened by an extremely loud fire alarm and recorded announcements insisting we evacuate because it was not a drill. In panic I evacuated six floors down in slippers and pajamas and, being visually impaired, without my glasses. Outside in the cold we were told after approximately 30 minutes it was a false alarm caused by your outdated systems. I was unable to return to sleep and remained anxious and tired for the rest of the morning. Because of the alarm and the sleepless night my performance the following day (an important workday) was severely compromised. I reported the incident to reception and was promised contact from management and consideration of compensation. No one has contacted me.

Impressive location, modern building.
Pros:

Impressive location right on the River Thames in Canary Wharf, underground parking, nice modern building, clean and comfortable room,
friendly staff.

Cons:

There was quite a delay checking us in because of new software but this is unlikely to be an ongoing issue.

mooi hotel, met prima faciliteiten (ook divere wellness behandelingen gedaan)
Pros:

alles was op zich erg goed en vooral bijzonder vriendelijk personeel. Alleen de kamer was echt veel te koud, iemand van het hotel heeft nog geprobeerd om dit te repareren, maar helaas niet goed gelukt.
