Clean rooms friendly staff

This hotel and the people who run it is very nice and patient with us! Despite a few days of having some problems with the hot water they had it fixed immediately, well not to mention when we came back after a couple of days being away for a tour in another town they gave us a nicer room for the last night before our flight the next day.
I will recommend this hotel to any first timers in Italy so close to the City center , walking distance to everything and also meeting points for tours .

One of the last remaining Italian hotels. Classic, traditional and authentic to the smallest detail. Such a joy to find a hotel true to the Italian culture despite so many others “renovating” and “updating” to the tacky business-modern-minimalist-IKEA image. If this hotel ever compromises their cultural integrity it will be regretful. Hopefully they value timeless over trendy. The only renovation should be to remove the carpet and return to original stone or tile. Everything else should remain untouched.

Close to the Vatican and metro station.

Fantastic place, breathtaking wiew from the terrace. The hotel is very well positioned, close to Vatican. The breakfast is various and more than enough.

Very nice hotel not far from the Vatican. Interieur is unique. We enjoyed our 4-day stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was not big but very clean and we enjoyed a good breakfast. Very nice roof terrace with a view of St Peter's. Highly recommended.

I stayed at this hotel mainly for its excellent location, which is ideal if you’re planning to focus your visit around the Vatican. It’s just a short walk from St. Peter’s Square, making it very convenient for attending Mass, papal audiences, or exploring the area at your own pace.

The rooms are spacious, which is a plus in a city like Rome. However, the furniture and decor feel a bit dated, and the hotel would benefit from some renovation. That said, the room was clean and comfortable for sleeping.

The breakfast was very good: a nice selection of sweet and savory items, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Overall, it’s a practical, well-located option if proximity to the Vatican is your main priority. A good value, as long as you’re not expecting modern luxury.

Wonderful location and just what I needed to relax. The staff was kind and remembered it was my birthday during my stay, very thoughtful.

This hotel is in great area within walking distance to fabulous restaurants and the metro. The rooms were clean and well kept and the staff is very friendly. It’s good for the price.

We had previously stayed at Hotel dei Consoli they year before on a Rick Steves tour and had thoroughly enjoyed it and booked it immediately when we knew we were returning to Rome this summer. They have an excellent location walking distance from the vatican far enough away to be out of the touristy zone. The rooms are somewhat small but very clean and there is an excellent breakfast on the rooftop.
During this trip we unfortunately left something very valuable in the safe and were immediately contacted. Laura and her team bent over backwards to help us get our belongings back and the communciation was exceptional. You would never get this level of service at a large corporate hotel. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Charming and conveniently located family-run hotel in the Prati district adjacent to Vatican City. Breakfast on rooftop every morning is a great start of each day. The staff is friendly and service oriented. Best feature is the location - <10 minute walk to Ottaviano Metro, Vatican, the Tiber and (15 min) to Piazza Navonne.

The hotel is designed in an antique way, and ut makes it unique. Access is super easy and you are 5 minutes walk to Vatican!!

Older hotel in the middle of it all. Walkable to the Vatican and many many other things to see and do. Plenty of food and drink options around this place. They have a really nice rooftop area for the breakfast crowd or to hang out.

Great price for the room.

We had one of the warmest hotel welcomes I’ve experienced from the highly professional and friendly, concierge, Fabrizio. Room 209 was comfortable, and clean with a reasonable air-conditioning system. As a bonus, it had a spa bath. It was equipped with a fridge. We requested a kettle which Fabrizio provided without qualm. The location, near the Vatican, was convenient for getting around Rome. A metro stop was 8 minutes walk but most of central Rome was walkable from the hotel. It had a delightful rooftop terrace for breakfast. Where swallows flew overhead, parakeets sat on surrounding buildings. Best of all a little Wagtail joined us for breakfast each morning. The only minor criticism was the bread could have been fresher. All in all, we would definitely return.
