Super quirky hotel
Pros:

What a super hotel, so quirky with lots of different reception rooms, all of differing sizes and could be used for different occasions. Set in a woodland setting with walking paths around the disused golf course and featuring a super spa with hot tubs (one outside) a sauna and a plunge pool. The afternoon tea looked excellent and I wish we had the opportunity to have one. The facilities were excellent and the treatments offered were enjoyed by myself and my friend. The staff were very polite and professional and most helpful.
The staff in the hotel were also very friendly and professional, from the reception staff, bar and hub staff to the housekeeping ladies.
All in all an excellent stay which I would hope to repeat particularly after the completion of the ongoing refurbishment.

This hotel is getting tired and could do with a complete refurbishment.
Pros:

Friendly & helpful staff. Food at dinner good.

Cons:

Room far too hot. No air-con. Was given a fan which didn’t work. Breakfast not very hot.
This hotel is still being advertised on your site as a Golf Resort & Spa. In fact it has not had a golf-course for a year, as we discovered. What was the course is now overgrown,

Pros:

It is a good location for us. It is just off the motorway and convenient for us to access the place.

Cons:

It was very noisy with the door in the corridor. We woke up every time someone walked through the door. Also, it was a very hot day, and there was no A/C or fan in the room. The window can only be opened by less than 10cm. It was very difficult to sleep in a small room with no airflow at a temperature between 25 and 30 degrees.

Pros:

Lovely setting and helpful front desk ataff

Cons:

No lift and very old awkward stairs to the rooms. Our main bedroom had a small staircase in it from the bathroom to the bedroom. No mention of the amount of stairs at any point of the booking and we were travelling with a family member who struggled with lots of stairs.
Rooms.were.very hot and the old sash windows hardly opened and woondt stay open at all.
TV didn't work in one bedroom at all.

Not a bad place to stay but check if they have an event on before booking.
Pros:

Rooms were pleasant, building and grounds were beautiful, staff were very friendly and down-to-earth and the price was very reasonable.

Cons:

Breakfast was pretty average with sausages and scrambled eggs that didn't really taste of anything, bathroom wasn't 100% clean, the TV reception was poor so couldn't get half the channels, and there was a prom going on which meant it was very noisy until 11pm. They offered me a free upgrade but that seemed to be directly above the main source of music so I'm not sure it was a worthwhile perk. It was during the heatwave and there's no A/C and no fans in the room.

Always a pleasurable stay with fantastic staff and facilities.
Pros:

I have stayed at the hotel several times now over the last few years and always find the experience very pleasurable. I enjoy how the hotel is tucked away from the busy town and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food from the restaurant is always good and fairly priced.

Cons:

The only downside, if I am being really picky, was that the room was very hot and sticky due to not having air-conditioning or access to a fan, that being said, my stay was through a very hot heatwave. I would defiantly not let this put me off from staying again, I would just take my own fan with me.

Poor stay, room and accommodation as a whole nneds a good revamp as ceiling paper peeling, running repairs are tacky and
Cons:

I put in a room above a gym. Trying to relax in my room after a hard day and was submitted to thud thud thud of someone on a treadmill at 9:30 in the evening.
