A very big let down from our last stay
Pros:

The exit.
Food on the night was lovely.
Other guests made it better.

Cons:

All the updates not very good.
not being able to use the spa facilities.
not being able to eat between 4-6 not good when can’t check in till 3.
corridors stunk like foisting or/and smoking

Excellent value for money but a bit remote.will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Breakfast always lovely food, rooms are bit out dated but comfortable, we been 4 times now and we love the friendly staff Mandy on reception always accommodating.

National cross country weekend.
Pros:

Tha staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast very tasty and nice to have plenty of different options for eggs

Cons:

I booked 3 twin rooms(originally 4 but had to cancel one earlier in the week). We arrived about 5pm and were given the keys. 1 room turned out to be a large king, mother and son happy to share. Then we went over to the stable block where our rooms were, I room had not been serviced, the bed was dirty and the towels left in a pile. The 3rd room smelled of cigarettes. The guy at reception was very helpful and changed our rooms but unfortunately there were no twin rooms so we all ended up sharing double beds. Luckily we are all close enough friends for it to not have been too much of an issue.
Despite being a spa hotel guests had to pay for access £15 for 90 minutes and there was no swimming pool so we gave it a miss.
