It take almost 10 minutes for the four of us the reach this hotel from the train station since we were carrying 2 medium-large and 2 small luggages. The Hotel Lucerne located in the central area and many attractions of Lucerne are within walking distance. So many restaurants, Cafes and Bistros nearby.
Upon our arrival, we got a surprise : I got upgraded to Corner Suite facing the small garden, Library of Lucerne and a Church. The front office provide all the information we need to see the city; the way she explained made us rushing the the city right after we settled our room.
Check in and check out was very quick and seamless.
I really enjoy the breakfast as guests can choose some menus from the kitchen and the staff prepare them to our liking.
Room was spacious, very well decorated (although at the first night my wife was a bit disturbed by the painting or picture on the ceiling).
And I got a very pleasant and unforgettable memory : on the second day, the four staffs on duty drop by on our breakfast table for wishing myself a great and wonderful birthday. And I still keep the card presented to me.
Thank you for make our stay and visit in Lucerne memorable.
So, in conclusion : Perfect
Stayed here for a night while on business in Luzern. Hotel has a very nice boutique feel.
Room was huge (maybe I got upgraded as Marriott Ambassador).
But a few flaws.
There are weird LED lighting strips and lights everywhere. Some of these you CANNOT turn off. Which means you cannot sleep well.
Hotels are all about sleep. This is a major failing. I had to do my best to put pillows over these annoyances.
The room also runs warm. You cant set it to be cold at night.
And breakfast is lackluster. The omelette is more of a fried egg.
Reception staff( Alex) was really helpful.
The roof wall paper was annoying to stare at.
Sehr gute Lage nahe beim Bahnhof.
Eigene Baar.
Sehr freundliches Personal
Great location beautiful rooms
Empty mini bar
The hotel’s interiors are stunning. Best room I’ve ever slept in. Also, the staff were super nice and attentive, and the service impeccable (night of 6/11, lady at the bar also was great). They made my stay truly amazing!
Design and location were amazing.
Loved everything.
We spent three nights at the hotel in two visits, in two different rooms, during the Lucerne music festival. The best two things about this hotel were the superb design and the location. It was designed by the architect of the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre (concert hall), and each room is an arty delight. It is compact, modern, luxurious and convenient, and the staff were helpful. The location is 5 minutes from the concert hall, the train station, and the major sights and galleries over the mediaeval bridge in the Old Town. The library square, in which the hotel is set, is charming and quiet, with an excellent restaurant, outdoors in the Summer, called Bellini.
We did not take breakfast in the hotel as it was ridiculously expensive. What a weak point for this otherwise excellent hotel.
Great boutique hotel. Amazing staff who are all very friendly and accommodating. Great location as well to centrally walk/bus/train anywhere.
We had a terrible experience at this hotel. Marriott should be embarrassed. When we checked in there was hair in the sink in our bathroom. Hotel needs lots of tlc, chipped paint everywhere. Air condition in our room was broken. Whenever we tried to run the unit the room was filled with humidity. We had to sleep with the window open and were subjected to street noise and bug bites. When we tried to get resolution the staff only could say they would try to fix it. Only redeeming points are location and breakfast. I am sure there are much nicer places to stay for the money, look elsewhere.
Nestled in a residential area it is a small hotel with big rooms & extremely pleasing staff. The surroundings are a bonus with an open garden like area ,a bustling cafe with open air seating and the best part is very close proximity to the Lucern station, markets, chapel bridge, boating lake & old town.It is also well connected with Trams & buses. The inside decor of rooms is interesting with romanting painted ceiling though the lighting around the entrance aŕea of room lacks adequate lighting. The bathroom is big with tub & double sink .The backside outside the bath had some plants which needed attention. The blinds are electronically controlled with a press of button. The housekeeping function was also efficiently performed by the ever smiling reception staff. There is a weekly market of used goods in the square around the hotel being set up by the locals.
We like the location it was very close to the center in front of a large park.
In no case is price related to quality.
Unfriendly staff, difficulty in parking, very poor breakfast, lack of healthy food products, low ceiling room with no view
We have been traveling for 30 years, we only stay in five star hotels, in no way does this represent a five star hotel!!

We stayed at the hotel in August for 3 nights and occupied 2 room categories. The penthouse room was gorgeous, with the balcony/ terrace overlooking the city being the absolute highlight. This room was bright and spacious and well appointed.
The other room was a suite as well on.level 5,, but was way darker in decor and lighting. This room too was spacious and well appointed.
Service staff at the reception were very helpful and cheerful and made the stay that much more pleasant.
Location is fabulous. With young kids, being this close to a park was an absolute winner. The train station, department store, restaurants, chapel bridge, boat cruises were all within a 5-15 minute relaxed walk distance.
We stayed at this hotel over a decade ago when it was a hip, independent boutique property. Sadly, its current incarnation under Marriott’s Autograph Collection is a shadow of its former self. The rooms are dated and poorly maintained: scuffed timber floors, tired furnishings, and old, frayed towels. One of the face towels we had looked like a rag. There was no minibar, the bathroom plugs didn’t work, and worst of all, the mattresses in two separate rooms we stayed in were both uncomfortably hard that made sleep nearly impossible.
The breakfast was equally disappointing, with a sparse, uninspired spread—I was served the saddest-looking fried eggs I’ve ever seen.
This is, at best, a three-and-a-half-star hotel and should not be marketed as an upscale property. While the service was warm and the location remains excellent, the hotel is long overdue for a complete refurbishment.
The hotel is a small, intimate property with around 30 rooms.
Customer service was exceptional, even prior to arrival.
Location:
Convenient location, just steps from the train.
Breakfast:
The scrambled eggs were made with fresh cracked eggs—simple, classic, and well done. A tower was brought to the table, featuring cheese, smoked salmon, cold cuts, yogurt, and a mini Bircher muesli. I personally prefer to choose what items I want. I find this wasteful, as some of the items I did not choose to eat.
There is also a self-serve section with breads, perfectly cooked and seasoned mushrooms, falafels, bacon, chicken sausage etc. I felt that these items added a unique and tasty touch.
Upgrade due to status was appreciated.
4.5 experience but rounding up to 5.
