Pros:

Nothing! Used to love this hotel. Was one if the 1st I stayed in.Now Im just so sick of it and the owners/staff etc. They are keeping a ton of bums there, drunks, drug addicts, you name it. They let them destroy it. Yet loyal paying customers arent welcome for the longest time. Time to grow a pair and take your hotel back! These people wouldnt be homeless if theyd get off their arse and get a job and actually look for an apartment. Why Should Paying Customers Who Respected The Hotel Have To Suffer??

CLOSE THE SHELTER AND GO BACK TO BEING THE HOTEL. Ffs Its Already Been Long Enough.

Not Anymore
Pros:

I stayed here many times prior to Covid and at the time I was quite satisfied. The location was very convenient for me and I "thought" the staff was nice. Id go there and spend christmas. Since Covid, Not allowed to book any rooms until JUNE 2021 (til they change it again) all because theyd rather "street people" to stay there over paying guests. So much damage was done to the hotel I once loved. street people bring bed bugs etc but delta prefers them. Sadly I lost all respect for Delta.
I am happy however I found somewhere although its further, it is better, cleaner, quieter and alot cheaper than Delta.

Homeless shelter
Pros:

Careful about staying at this hotel. They are currently housing the homeless and majority of their space is used for the shelter. Since the Delta has been turned into a shelter there's been increased garbage to the area, loitering, and safety issues.

Deceitful
Pros:

Learned at check-in that they were housing the homeless. While I admire the initiative, I strongly believe that they should make this clear to guests *before* they arrive, so they can assess the risk and make other arrangements. Many people around the lobby, common areas and elevators - no masks, no social distancing and no evidence of sanitizing. The homeless people staying here and the paying guests deserve better.

Pros:

I have been coming to this hotel for the past 8 years and it’s starting to show it’s age. The walkway from the parkade to the lobby has a funky Miley odour. The same odour was in the closet in my room when I opened the closet door. I found a lot of hair in the carpets and bathroom floor of my room. Overall the room was not clean. Due to covid, I did not get any house cleaning services.

Pros:

There was no one at the front desk during my check out. Had to wait for more than 15 minutes. The clerk went upstairs somewhere. Didn’t even apologize when he came back.

Double Charge Poor Experience
Pros:

well I booked on your site from Toronto, for a Toronto destination, thought it was quoted in Canadian currency, to my surprise it was US. That was a surprise I didn't like.

Second, my girlfriend got bitten a few times on her hand, she left after first night, hotel only changed room, next day after checking my credit card, they also charged my credit card for the two nights.

They called saying they will reverse charges

Overall Poor experience

Pros:

I booked this property for the indoor swimming pool but the chlorine was so strong that it burned my kids skin. They literally had burn rashes all over their bodies. And it would be nice if in winter they would put comforters on the beds it was very cold for us and we kept having to ask for more blankets and the blankets were very thin. The wallpaper was peeling and the window seals were dirty.

Give this hotel a pass
Pros:

This is a very tired hotel in desperate need of a heavy duty renovation.

The double beds are too small and hard for two people to sleep in so we had to upgrade to a king suite. My 16 yr old son was forced to sleep on the pull out couch as we now had only one bed in the suite. He didn’t sleep at all that night as the metal support of the frame could be felt through the lumpy, thin mattress. The next day, I asked for for a cot to be brought to our suite as I couldn’t subject my son to another night on the couch. Although the first inclination was to bill me for the cot, cooler heads prevailed and they realized the cot was needed as the pullout couch provided was sub-par. When we tried the cot that night, the springs also could be felt through the old mattress and so we put it on the floor for the remaining 2 nights we were there. My husband slept on the floor and my son in the King sized bed with me as we were there from Vancouver for a sporting event for my son.

The cleaning staff were embarrassed in the morning when they can in the tidy up and saw the mattress on the floor. They did acknowledge that the hotel was old and in need of an upgrade.

I would not stay at the hotel again until a lot of money was put into it. The staff are helpful and friendly and go out of their way to help make the best of the stay.

This is not the quality of room, beds or hotel I would expect of a Delta hotel and I was very disappointed.

Hockey Tournament
Pros:

This will be our 3rd time our team has visited this hotel. The staff are very friendly, the rooms, hallways, etc are a little worn and dated. Some fix ups are definatley needed. The games room downstairs needs some work as well as the atrium. Main reason for our trips have been hockey tournaments so the main draw is the pool area for the kids which is great.
