The location and the hotel was beautiful, the staff very kind.
Comfortable bed.
We were woken up from a deep sleep at midnight by piercing pipework noises.
Poor sleep.
Staff were super nice and helpful
Food was excellent especially the breakfast
Nothing
Well maybe that the spa isn't ready yet...lol
We stayed in the cosy lake view room.
The view was amazing from our window and definitely worth paying extra for.
Breakfast was excellent.
Staff were welcoming, polite, helpful and cheerful.
Will definitely stay again.
Can’t think of anything we disliked.
Location
Room size good - family room
Breakfast limited selection, and Poorly laid out.
Shutters on large bay window in bedroom did not keep out the light. They need to be replaced with blackout curtains.
This hotel is in an excellent location and has good facilities and friendly front-line staff.
We paid extra for a lake view but the main window was very dirty, with no access to clean it on the outside. We were aware from the time of booking of work in progress in front of the hotel, too, and these factors didn't spoil our holiday. However, we got a parking charge notice a month after we got home, despite having paid the hotel for parking for the duration and having followed their procedures about notifying our registration number. We went out in the car on one day and, upon checking, I was told that this wouldn't confuse the ANPR cameras as the registration was valid for the duration of our stay: but it did, as the notice referred to the period from our return from our day out until our final departure. The hotel manager initially tried to disassociate the hotel from the parking management firm, but did arrange for the notice to be cancelled. All's well that ends well, but the positive feeling we had about the hotel was badly scarred. Lessons could be learned about briefing staff and management about the parking procedures.
Room very tidy but small - We only stayed one night so no issue but could have tested if staying for several nights
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic!
Nothing - we had a great stay despite the sauna and spa renovations. You can look past the site works and take in the lake views.
Attentive staff
Small bathroom
Location
Renovation work while we were there
Location, good staff.
Not child friendly due to the lift not fitting prams, Unclean rooms with insects and blood on sheets, dust/ webs in room, needing to be changed bedrooms due to this, grime around bath edges, unclean windows to sit and look out on to the view of the lake. first room had old and dusty smell.
The hotel was really nice and central to the town
Having to pay £15.00 a night for parki6
Nothing
Unfortunately, our stay at Blissfield Hotel was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had.
- The reception staff were very cold and unwelcoming, and the waiting time during check-in was unnecessarily long.
- There was no complimentary water provided in the room, which is a basic standard we would expect from a hotel of this level.
- The bed was extremely worn out and very uncomfortable, which negatively affected our sleep and overall comfort throughout the stay.
- Check-out time was at 11:00 AM, and when we requested only a 20-minute late check-out, we were charged £50. This charge was never clearly communicated during check-in, nor when we requested the extension.
- No assistance was offered with luggage.
- The staff attitude overall was unfriendly and unprofessional.
- Most importantly, our £100 security deposit has still not been refunded even after more than one month since our stay. The receptionist had informed us that the refund process would take no longer than two weeks.
Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel compared to the many better options.
Spacious room and great location

The position was superb with a gorgeous view of the pier area. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and engaging: a credit to the hotel.
My only negative comment would be in 2 parts: that the rooms are not cleaned daily and you have to request it. Not what you would expect of a hotel focusing on the more luxury end of the market. Secondly, with this in mind, this policy should have been advised to us upon check-in; it was not. When I requested housekeeping for the following morning after missing a day, it had been forgotten and I had to request a clean upon our return late afternoon.
