Pros:

Great location and dining experience

Cons:

Bathroom was a joke.. made airline toilets look spacious, had to side shuffle onto the toilet and put head it the handbasin while sitting, my 80 year old mother really struggled with it

Disappointed with room standard. Rest of hotel is lovely and staff were helpful and friendly.

Cons:

How tatty the room was, peeling paint on windows, paint peeling off bathroom ceiling over the bath so didn’t want to use this. False eyelashes on the sofa, stains on furniture. Lack of plugs near the bed. Scuff marks on skirting boards, walls and doors. Expected more for the money.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us. Spacious rooms and bathrooms.
Pros:

It is extremely close to the jetty or pier of Lake Windermere with a back door that leads you there easily. Lots of Thai food around the place with a Tesco Express
Convenience store nearby. Easy to drive to Ambleside and Keswick.

Cons:

The reason we chose The Belsfield is because they have an elevator. We do not want to lug our luggage up the stairs because of our bad back. But between the lift to the rooms, there were quite a few steps up and down between the lift to the rooms. When we arrived, someone was there to help us with the luggage but when we checked out on the last day morning at 7:30am, there was no one to help us. So something to consider.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at your hotel.
Pros:

The hotel is beautifully located and offers a lovely view of the lake.

Cons:

There was some noise from people moving through the corridors and using the bathrooms in the adjacent room. Additionally, the restaurant supervisor’s performance during breakfast could be improved.

Would definitely go again, but would book direct
Pros:

Location is amazing! The hotel is situated overlooking Lake Windermere, the view is stunning!
The staff were all lovely and very helpful.
Breakfast was a good variety, from full cooked to continental, all self serve.

Cons:

The room key didn't work properly, twice I had to go back to reception for them to sort it out.
There was a strange smell in my room (musty type) which they put down to the works being done.
Booking dot com price doesn't include breakfast, that's an additional £20 per person

Visited for my birthday as we had done last year, infact we had the same room, fantastic breakfast
Pros:

Excellent view over Lake Windermere, room clean, comfortable

Cons:

Shower leaked, twin sockets on one wall wouldn’t work at all, TV Chanel’s not working until we asked for some help then worked fine, cable wasn’t connected correctly, Charlie sorted it out he was absolutely fantastic, lovely person

The food did not match the standard of the hotel, fire alarm tested to many times without warning, the shower stall had gaffer tape on the bottom, the toilet paper was cheapI have been in economy hotels and they always provide tissues,
