beautiful hotel set in gorgeous grounds, an excellent stay
Pros:

Beautiful room with free upgrade. All the food was excellent with a good choice. Staff were very friendly and all facilities were excellent. Hotel in set in gorgeous grounds and is super quiet and luxurious.

Fabulous views.
Good spacious room. Pleasant decoration throughout the hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
Good breakfast selection.

Cons:

The only things that weren't quite spot on were:
the staff cleaning the rooms on the Sunday morning were very loud and seemed to be arguing;
and the shower was difficult to position correctly.

Will definitely be my preferred hotel whenever I need to stay in the area
Pros:

Room and bathroom comfortable and well equipped.
Staff very attentive.
Interesting food options.

Cons:

EV chargers very low key, apparently required an app to use or even to find out their capability, and their spaces in the carpark were occupied by non-EVs.

I told the hotel I was arriving about 2/3am and they acknowledged this in a message - what they didn’t have the courtesy to update me on is that the road would be closed and no satnav updates - it took me from 3am half an hour to try and get in touch and ask what to do… I was told to just drive through the ROAD CLOSED safety barriers and speak to the workmen … why was this not messaged beforehand as it’s very significant your guests can actually access the hotel

Finally got to my bed, which was two singles badly pushed together so a big dip in the middle

Then at 9.10am after I’d had 5 hours sleep - housekeeping just walks into my room - didn’t knock, two hours before checkout - absolutely unnecessary
