The location was great and access to car park was a bonus
The room was clean and tidy and ok for a short stay The hot water was so hot that it was dangerous !
I liked the convenient location of the hotel. The bar was a bonus. Parking on site for a small fee (£5) was also useful.
The fireplace in the lounge was impressive.
The majority of staff lacked warmth and hospitality, which goes a long way towards making a stay welcoming and enjoyable. (A couple were personable and made us feel welcome.)
The general feel of the hotel is tired and worn.
It would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room.
Lack of breakfast, which is disappointing for the price.
It seemed expensive for what we got.
Clean but very tired.
Right in the center of everything.
Good value for what we paid.
Location
Alot of noise around hotel. Someone started hoovering at 05:00. Beds are uncomfortable aswell.
Location was great, on the high street. Parking was great and only £5 for 24 hrs if you pay in reception and not on the machine in the car park, which charges £10.
Nothing really, except decor isa little dated. There's no food available on site but there's plenty of cafes around.
No
Comfy bed not as much noise a breakfast they said free parking cost £5 extra
Gorgeous old rooms downstairs. Easy location and parking. Clean and basic.
Needs some tlc and investment to bring up to date - could be glorious.
Location was good
Hall ways carpets bit worn down and ban smell in the hall way close to our room
car parking. bed qcofortable enough. room cleanobviously
obviously seen much better days. no atmosphere with seemingly few guests. no proper bar
History of the place9😀
Ftont bar not open and rpoed off areas on the ground floor would have liked to sit next to an open fire and get a few pints down before bed time
Spacious and great hotel very central
Rooms could be more modern
Great central location
Nice clean rooms and a wonderful old building
Room was rather noisy with plumbing and noise from other guests, mattress could probably do with renewing too as it was rather lumpy
Location was great, very old fashions but I liked this as it had character
Think it was over priced for a stay without breakfast
