Superb hotel have stayed here several times and will continue to stay here it's excellent :)
Only concern was the price of the beer which is over priced in the hotel bar easily resolved by drinking next door in the Henry Tudor pub
A little too far from the train station as it was up & down hill. Older people struggled with walking aids, I just managed the walk having had a knee replacement.
Staff are exceptional, value for money and great location.
Location
Smell

Remote was caroded inside didn't work,
Curtains, were all frayed and fabric coming off.
Central
The kitchen no longer existed. The bar would open if there was staff and the only drink was what they had left. The hotel was for sale so it was ticking over while waiting for a sale, the owners seemed to have lost interest. Don’t know why it’s still on booking.com.
Location
Run down
Lack of welcome in dowdy reception area
Location & the History of the hotel
It was very warm in the room although the radiators were switched off !
Character
The state of the rooms and lack of facilities
Staff were very helpful with luggage etc.
Room was spacious and clean.
The excellent location.
It's dog friendly.
The fixtures and fittings are looking tired, but
that is understandable as we told it recently has new owners who are planning to upgrade.
Not very much I’m afraid. The best thing about it is the location.
Not clean, very scruffy and in bad need of updating.
