Spacious rooms, super clean and friendly staff. Love that the windows open in room and the gym is Will equipped, and usually not many people there. It was like I had my own gym to myself. The biggest problem is the air conditioning/heating unit. It really needs to be attended to. It's annoying. It makes a ton of noise and the only way that I could deal with the Room and sleep was ask team to turn it off completely for the five days I was there. The good thing was that. It was neither too cold, nor too warm, but I got lucky. The events are a real problem. The breakfast that's included is fantastic and nourishing and filling. Great location within walking distance to Georgetown Dupont Circle, and Pennsylvania Avenue. The Cost value benefit is not great. I feel it is a bit over priced for what it offers. Compared to other hotels of the same ranking and price structure.
Hotel was nice, the people next door were loud but other than that it was a great experience. What really brought light was the doorman Teddy. He was the nicest doorman I’ve ever encourntered! Me and my family grew a nice friendship with him and he made our trip truly special.
My wife and I were due to stay at this hotel at the end of February 2026. We had planned to travel to New York first and then to Washington to stay at the Eurostars Hotel, for what should have been a once in a lifetime trip whilst staying in beautiful accommodations. However, due to the recent snowstorm that affected the east coast our flights to New York were cancelled and our trip was subsequently cancelled. The Hilton in New York was very accommodating and issued us a full refund immediately.
However, with this hotel I have attempted to contact them multiple times regarding a refund which I tried to do a week before we were due to stay but have received no response. There has been no acknowledgement or any form of communication. I consider this a completely unsatisfactory customer service experience. I then contacted Expedia who booked our stay. They were very helpful and understanding. They also then attempted to contact the hotel multiple times but were told that no one could resolve this issue to even offer a partial refund.
Today I received an email from Expedia stating that the hotel has denied any refund. Despite this, there has been no direct communication from the hotel or manager regarding our issue. I appreciate that refunds can sometimes be difficult to issue but the lack of transparency and communication from customer services has been appalling. Consequently, we will not be rebooking here for our next trip.
I've stayed here many times before and loved each stay. This time wasn't bad but things have changed. The rooms are still the same but some of the amenities I loved are gone. The toiletries in the bathrooms are no longer L'Occitane, the evening wine social is no more and that wonderful scent that used to fill the lobby is gone. They used to have apples and water bottles in the gym and that too is gone. The staff was great but I didn't recognize anyone from my previous trips. The entire staff is new. With the new company things just aren't the same.
Currently here (Nov 13). Room on the 9th floor facing M street office buildings. Quiet. Great location. Friendly staff. Hot water in the shower is barely warm. Air conditioner is loud and barely cools or heats. Room is otherwise spacious and modern.
Great hotel, with a great location. And incredibly reasonable price. The staff was always helpful, and the bar has good food. Highly recommend the cheesecake panna cotta!
Didn’t go
Great location, close to Dupont and Foggy Bottom Metro stations. We took a $25 Lyft from Ronald Reagan Airport. Nice lobby and helpful guy on the desk to check us in. Room was on the 9th floor with a view of the apartment block to the rear. Unfortunately, we awoke to see a large amount of ants in residence in my shoes and so immediately brought this to the attention of reception and requested a room change. To be fair, they did upgrade us to a suite without any prompting. Still, not a great start.
We didn't get breakfast on the premises so can't comment on food but there are plenty of place to sit and eat in the immediate vicinity.
Walking to the White House takes around 30 minutes at a slowish pace and you're only 5/10mins from a Metro station. Georgetown is walkable in 15 mins. A Silver line Metro will take you non stop to Dulles from Foggy Bottom for £4.99
New room had a side view of the wall of the next building. You aren't staying here for the view from the room though! As many have mentioned before, the aircon is from pre-historic time, is very loud and isn't really the best. The bed was fine, the tv was huge, the fridge was cool (and didn't need to be turned on every 2 hours as some have suggested), the bathroom was clean and had L'occitane products. The hotel looks modern but has obviously been around a long time and everything is starting to look worn and needs an upgrade. There are scrapes on walls, chips to drawers/wooden items and just a general malaise. We did learn the hotel had recently been taken over and a new management company was in place so hopefully they can spend some money on things like aircon, lifts and fixture/fittings. We generally had a great time in DC and would be open to retuning at some point however I wouldn't choose this hotel based on our experiences in this stay.
Washington is a great city, very walkable and the Metro is very easy to use. Go enjoy if you can, because there is so much to see.
Very good neighborhood. Easy walking to restaurants etc..
I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple
Sadly the hotel has become quite basic and cheap. I’ve stayed here many times but unfortunately this will be my last. They used to include breakfast for free which they have now stopped. They also used to use fantastic L’Occitane products which they have now replaced with AWFUL cheap synthetic ones. The gym was also really run down and basic with equipment not working. I usually stay many times a year here, around 20 days a year in total but there I won’t be going back after my recent stay. They have been taken over by a company callled Eurostars who, for some reason, think clients now want a cheap and basic experience. We don’t.
The hotel is in an excellent location. It’s pretty inside. The staff was mostly very friendly and helpful. Evening shift was just average. The elevated smelled like body odor but was cleaned after we reported it to the desk. The plumbing in our bathroom was super loud the first night but corrected itself the next day. Beds were SUPER comfortable and the best pillows I’ve had in a hotel.
Everything was nice and the location is perfect
Top notch.
1. Gym infested with bugs. Had to abandon workout during press-up as wrists and ankles were attacked by insanely itchy bug bites.
2. Loud air con - it only ran on high fan, so it was pretty noisy. Luckily, I had earplugs, which muffled it enough.
Also, they charge a “resort fee”… for what? The Lazy River that floats past my cabana??! It’s a city hotel for goodness sake!
My fav.
Water was unavailable for more than 4 hours on first day and bathroom fixture not repaired for more than 24 hours after pointed out to staff.
Room needed some maintenance and better attention from the housekeeping staff.
Parking is a ripoff.
Upon arrival, the computers were down and I was not able to get a key and the proper check in, the took me to my room and let me in, but I never got the Wi-Fi and had to get room keys later in the evening when the computers were working again.
I have a lot to say about this stay, I will try to be brief. I had a one bedroom suite for a week. The doorman- Bellmen were professional and friendly. The front Desk staff top of their field- Courteous- Professional- Helpful, Very Professional! The Bistro crew, Very good! I have a Big Shout out for Roberto! I joined him every evening in the bar for drinks/Happy Hour. The drinks were all delicious, he had a fabulous attitude and had Excellent customer service! The Bistro is on the corner with glass windows in a great location! I would like to suggest putting a few Tv's in the bar area to attract more customers. With such a great happy hour and Fantastic Customer service you would expect this place to be very busy, but every night I went, there were not many people. Put up a few TV's and I think the Vibe would change and invite others in!......Roberto is an asset to your company for sure! Regards
