The front desk staff are defensive and not service-oriented.
During check-in, I asked if my card was already charged for the cost of the room because I wanna make sure they received it. But instead of a clear yes or no answer, the answer was a defensive "We have to use your credit card for liability issues". So I had to ask again if the room itself was already paid.
When I asked about if we can park on the premise, instead of giving us info about the rate and how to do it, the answer we got was "But you didn't pay for the parking in your reservation". There was no such option on Booking.com. So this is why I'm asking for your help.
During check out, I asked for a printout of the expenses incurred during the stay and asked if we were charged for the internet. The user interface for connecting to the in-room wifi is very confusing and it looks like it's charging people to connect. The staff assured us we didn't get charged and tried to dismiss me by saying goodbye. So I had to ask again for a printed receipt. Once it's printed, the staff bid me farewell again, not allowing me anytime to read the receipt. A helpful staff would proactively tell you what the charges are to make sure no mistakes are made.
I know the FIFA crowds and so many tourists are annoying to deal with. But that's no excuse for being snobby and dismissive to the guests.
The only helpful staff throughout our stay is the person working the FIFA table and giving out maps. She was the one who provided helpful information without prejudice and judgement.
Location was perfect for getting to our cruise ship. Walking distance to port, coffee shops and more. Quiet and comfortable. Front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming, even at our late hour arrival.
Great location, comfortable room for a short stay, nice breakfast buffet included, and excellent staff. Chris at the check-in desk was very efficient and accomodating.

This hotel has been amazing from the start to the end. The room is comfortable. Everyone was helpful. We did eat at the restaurant for lunch and it was good. We stayed the night before a cruise and utilized the cruise package and it was well worth it.

The view and the location. Great service from the staff who responded quickly to my enquiries and requests. There wasn't a problem checking in earlier than anticipated. Though the decor was a bit outdated, the bed was very comfortable. All staff we encountered were extremely attentive and professional.

From the moment we arrived we felt like the entire staff cared that we had a good stay. Our room had a wonderful view of the harbor and was very comfortable. It was probably one of the best night’s sleep I have ever had in a hotel. It was no problem checking in a little early and checking out a little late.
