Super weird room, not too comfy
Pros:

Location was good.

Cons:

Our room was so weird - the layout was like a hospital room, the toilet was a glass box so you could see each other on the toilet, the facilities were just odd.

Good location, friendly staff but not a 5 star hotel experience currently (Jan 26)

Friendly & helpful staff, good cocktail barman when bar is open. Lift and common parts still have a vibe

Cons:

The rooms are dated and the room felt like an office space with a bed in it. Lighting is white instead of warm which is easily fixed. Put some led's under the bed! No music in the room and TV controls had to be changed twice. Bluetooth speaker unavailable, and bluetooth connectivity to room speaker was not working. Together with the lighting it was not a good atmosphere in the room. A main function/lounge room by the reception was closed My main gripe was that you CANNOT get an alcoholic drink of choice in your room other than wine after hours. First time I have ever experienced this in a 5 star hotel. I was kindly offered a upgrade for my next stay when I brought this up at checkout, however I had already paid for an upgraded room, so not sure I will take them up on the offer.

Pros:

Staff very helpful when I said it was my husbands birthday.. room was ready early and they left bottle of prosecco in the room. We had a free upgrade due to booking.com genius which was icing on cake.

Great hotel, room and staff!
Pros:

Great location, beautiful room and terrace, staff was incredibly helpful and kind. We really loved our stay here. The tea bags provided in the room were really good. On our first day, we noticed one light wasn’t working, put up a note for the cleaning crew the next day, and when we got back it was fixed. Staff provides for fast and reliable assistance (everyone, from the reception, to the cleaning crew and the doormen).

Cons:

The mattress was a bit hard. We ended up asking for a second duvet and used one as a topper and it definitely helped.
If you want to sleep in late and get awakened easily by light/sunlight, the curtains do let some light it on the sides, which unfortunately often awakened us.

Lovely hotel in great location.
Pros:

We always love staying at the Sanderson. The interior is superb and the staff are always amazing and helpful. We have very fond memories of staying here over the years.

Cons:

It is beginning to look like it needs some tlc around the edges. Our black out blind had a rip in one corner and the lights wasn’t working properly.
