The staff was excellent, they went above and beyond. I found everything clean and the location extremely convenient. I loved the closet space, the wood floors and the size of my room.
I think it’s time for an update. The room is cozy but pretty outdated for standards today. The dark woods, the hallways are in need of new colors and new carpets. I found it to be circa 2005. That’s my opinion. Everything was spotless and the staff made up for it all. I paid for a higher floor but there was now view just ugly rooftops so that was a waste of money. Shouldn’t make people pay extra for no view.
great location
Location
My bed was lumpy.
Everything
Nothing
Location, comfort and the fact that is just a classy place to stay.
So we get there and was in a valet line for 30+ min line was barely moving and to think your paying just under $80 dollars for the service we get to room by middle of night we realize AC was not working properly and to top it off we leave the next morning and valet broke my gear shifter
My stay at the Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square was an extremely pleasant one. From the moment that I checked in until I left the property upon check out the staff was super gracious and very professional. My every need, be it great or small was attended to immediately and with grace and precision. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in Philadelphia!
We stayed at the Sofitel for two nights in a luxury king, highest floor room, which was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The AC/heating system worked well and was also very quiet , which is often not the case in hotel rooms. No street noise either, so we slept well. The room had a comfortable bed, large TV, plenty of storage for clothing, fully stocked minibar, nespresso machine, robes, and slippers. The large bathroom had both a bathtub and walk in shower. I would suggest using the Accor hotel app for your booking, as you may be able to get a very good package rate. Valet parking is expensive ($70 base rate and tax) as was room service but the app’s discounted room and a $20 daily credit ( which we used at the lobby bar each evening) mostly helped make the stay a better value. I was confused by random charges the hotel made on my card, even after they explained them they did not really correlate with either their explanations or my expectations. So I am waiting to see if the billing gets sorted out on my bank statement. Most important, the location is prime, with easy access to museums by foot, car or taxi, and really good dining and shopping options are all within a block or two, in any direction.
The hotel is located in a very central location in Philly. Rittenhouse Square and many other locations are easily within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were clean and well appointed.
The bar in the lobby had good drinks and the service was great. It was hopping in the evening. Many places to sit and have a cocktail.
The front desk was very patient and nice. They did everything they could to attend to anything we needed.
The Manager (Guy) can’t remember his name was absolutely fantastic. He knows how to treat his guest. I would recommend this place for a comfortable and friendly stay. 👍👍
