Absolutely not worth the rates. Won’t stay again

Breakfast buffet was good. Staff in restaurant and at front desk very nice and helpful

Cons:

Calls for room service or other requests are unfriendly and unhelpful. My room was drab and there was a thick layer of dust on the windowsill. Dust visible under the dresser. These renovated rooms have cheap floors and cheap furniture- I could actually feel the framing through the cushions of the sofa in my room if I sat there too long. Renovation is also inconsistent- some parts of the room were newer, but the bathroom has not been renovated. Perhaps that’s for the best since they seem to be using such cheap furniture and materials. I don’t know if it’s just this particular Sofitel or if it’s all of them since Allcor took over. I did stay in a Sofitel in Montreal in August that was much nicer- from the service to the tidiness to the rooms themselves. Anyway, it’s a shame. I won’t stay here again.
