Great place to stay. Right on the doorstep to beautiful scenery.
Great staff and food. Comfy bed and pillows.
3 pubs within walking distance if you don't mind going up hill on the way back, only for a short distance though.
One of the pubs is a great Indian restaurant.
Nothing
A wonderful room (upgraded).Dinner and breakfast were excellent.
We were offered a room up grade, pleased, couldn’t accept it because we had a pet that booking.com hadn’t made known, disappointed.
We liked the location and the grounds
Cleanliness seemed to be an issue, stains on sofa, strong sewerage smell in bathroom, if we had been staying for more than one night would have asked to be moved. Table in dining room not cleaned from previous sitting, cutlery dirty, glasses dirty
Velmi pekne okolie a samotny priestor bol prijemny a originalny.
Opacny system upratovania ako som zvyknuty. Upratovanie bolo len na poziadanie.
The food was exceptional
The staff were brilliant
The hotel in general needs a lot of maintenance it looks unkept in a lot of areas
There was mold in the bathroom which had just been painted over
One of the radiators was on and there was no way to turn it off
Breakfast was very good, and quite fulfilling.
Everything was very good, but unfortunately they don’t prove bedding for baby cot, which is understandable
Very rustic beautiful old property. Lots of character but all the modern facilities you would need.
Nothing.
Lovely staff, room was newly decorated and huge, dog friendly, fab location with pub just 2 mins walk away.
Hotel room was far too hot with heating on both nights after being mid twenties both days and humid. We couldnt sleep and our dogs were unsettled and panting. We couldnt turn it off but they gave us a fan the second night.
Excellent value for money.
The building is amazing , grounds in the day will have been wonderful with follies and ponds. Bed was clean and comfortable . Staff very helpful
The house is big so takes a lot of upkeep. Building is tired needing lots more renovations although some areas have been started this needs keeping in with the fabulous decor of this era. We thought we had booked a room in the actual hall but because we had booked with a pooch were put in a tatty courtyard room , very disappointing. The rooms are apparently due an upgrade carpets dirty and paintwork miss matched touch ups , grotty curtains and windows. Tv stopped working at 9.30 pm! Came back on in the night! Bathroom also very tatty 😢 hope all these works get sorted as this building needs saving !
Location was good , gardens were nice, hotel a little ragged around the edges but added to its charm
Limited choice at breakfast and empty bacon container.
The dinner was very nice. The grounds are peaceful and well maintained. The room is comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Good parking.
