Such an old Florida Gem.
Pros:

The grounds were so beautiful! We loved the history. Perfect location.

Cons:

The beds could have been a bit comfortable. But otherwise we loved stay!

Pros:

Beautiful property, love the history, staff is friendly. Room had a very comfortable bed and building was quiet. It was a nice convenience to have dining / breakfast onsite. I would highly recommend

Great hotel and we will definitely stay at Lakeside next year.
Pros:

We were there for an arts show and were able to walk to everything! Perfect location and parking provided.

DON’T STAY HERE!!!!!
Pros:

Horrible experience all the way around. I’m not sure how this place has gotten any review over a star. Run down, dirty, no help with bags & no elevator and had to walk forever carrying bags from car. (Pulled out my back going up 3 flights of stairs). Walls are paper thin, AC doesn’t work, it’s so loud I felt like guest in other rooms were in my room-I could hear someone taking there belt off-ewwww!!!! To top it off the staff was the absolute rudest people I have ever experienced & should NEVER be working in a hospitality business!! (Judy at the front desk was the WORST!)

avoid this hotel!
Pros:

Anyone who has asthma or allergies would do well to avoid the Lakeview Inn in Mount Dora. The moment we entered the building we were staying in, we could smell the mold and moisture in the attempts to order it off with products like Febreze. We were unable to open the window in our room, and therefore couldn’t address the moisture and the smell. When we woke up in the morning, the condensation on the window completely drenched the windowsill. We asked to be moved and we were in the next room was slightly better, but still the overall problem is there. We asked to compensated for the terrible night we had in the moisture ridden room and they didn’t make it happen. The manager claimed to have sent us an email inviting us for free breakfast, but we never got the email. Aside from the manager, the stafftried their best and they to acknowledge the problem with the hotel.
