The staff was friendly and definitely tried to go out of their way to help with requests like extra towels and a late check out. There was a decent sized fridge in the room with a freezer section that worked well enough to refreeze our freezer packs. The AC worked great.
This hotel is very dated on the outside. The grounds are not kept up and the paint is old. It looks pretty ghetto. The lobby is the same, with old decorations, old furniture, dirty windows and an unpleasant smell. The room reeked of pot. It had new cheap laminate flooring, which is better than old, dirty carpet. It had a few dead bugs but was passably cleaned if you aren't a germaphobe. The towels had stains on them. The tub was not somewhere I'd want to be again and the plug didn't work or fit in the drain. The balcony table had one chair and a water bottle full of cigarettes. The bed was cheap and you could feel the springs. The worst thing was the noise. We could hear everything in all of the rooms next to us, outside, in the hallway and upstairs. We were told the free "breakfast" was like bagels and muffins and juice or something. We didn't even stop by to look at it. The swimming pool is small and sort of clean. We got a good rate, but I would not stay here again with kids. We wanted an affordable hotel with a pool. Next time we would spend more for a cleaner, better hotel.
