Didn't disappoint
Pros:

The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us.

The rooms were beautiful, the hotel is so clean and tidy. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff.

The American bar was a real highlight. Great atmosphere, great staff.

Cons:

We had champagne ordered for our room which wasn't there when we arrived. We got our keys late for our room. The afternoon tea we booked for 4pm in our room wasn't ready until 5pm.

The staff couldn't have been more apologetic, they rectified the issues ASAP. Then made plenty of gestures to make up for it.

Mistakes happen, it's how they are handled that matter. They fixed them very very quickly, couldn't apologise enough and more than made up for it.

Overnight stay at The Savoy
Pros:

The hotel was exceptional. The decor was classy and elegant without being pretentious.

All of the staff we met were polite, professional and very friendly.

The American bar and the cocktails they serve are a must for anyone visiting.

We loved our overnight stay.

Cons:

When we arrived there was only one member of the reception team, meaning we had over a 10 minute wait to be seen.

Although our room was lovely I woke up with a backache and the hubby had a stiff neck from the pillows.

Generally superb and spa lovely
Pros:

Everything generally great and staff excellent.

Cons:

The breakfast arrangements were archaic and awkward with so many items attracting extra payments even after the £45 prepaid breakfast rate. Definitely needs a major overhaul asap.
