Pros:

Excellent stay. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Sunday lunch was fantastic. Room was very comfortable (did need to turn the radiators down / off). Breakfast also very good. If you need to be in the area, I would recommend.

Not a lot to complain about.

Very friendly and helpful staff. A special mention to Beth in the spa. Excellent massage, left me feeling great. I wish id booked two nights as I didnt have chance to explore properly.

The location was perfect, and close to the bus stop.

I think a little background music in the dining room would have taken away the doctor’s waiting atmosphere.

Breakfast was lovely. Grounds were amazing. The staff were super friendly and anything you wanted was no problem. Spa was lovely and clean

Beautiful, luxurious and immaculately kept.
Pros:

It’s beautiful gardens, very comfortable public rooms and bedrooms, and small spa . If you are looking for a period hotel / retreat in tranquil surroundings with attentive staff and peace and quiet then this is the place for you.

Cons:

The overhead shower, it was the only modern thing in the bedroom but if you wanted to have a shower without washing your hair this was fairly impossible.
