Pros:

I highly recommend this gorgeous resort. The staff is phenomenal and the restaurant is sensational. My wife and I rate their restaurant as #1 during our two week vacation. Our concierge, Alexandra was exceptional. This is a must stay if you’re in Puglia near the coast. Close to the Trulli and other special spots

Impressive hotel in a countryside setting.
Pros:

Amazing hotel in the countryside ten minutes drive from Monopoli. Due to the location of the hotel we rented a car from Bari airport for our stay. Should you wish to travel outside of the hotel and explore the surrounding areas a car is essential. The hotel is beautiful and quite unique with numerous olive trees in the grounds. The room was spacious and very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, the bathroom was large with an amazing shower and double wash basins. the indoor pool was very impressive as was the outdoor one. The grounds are quite extensive and good for a stroll around after dining. The hotel staff were always polite, friendly and helpful. Monopoli old town is very traditional lovely Italian with numerous restaurants and bars. We found II Melograno to be a beautiful and extremely comfortable hotel and would certainly return.

Disappointing!
Pros:

The unfriendly staff here ruined iur stay. From the moment we arrived, everyone was sour and impatient, a real disappointment and so unusual for Italy. Food was ordinary and the bar closed much too early. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Perfect Couple Massage at Il Melograno
Pros:

We had a couple massage at Il Melograno, and it was an unforgettable experience. Vanessa and Miriam took care of us with great professionalism and kindness. They first asked about our preferences (pressure, focus areas, and zones to avoid), which made the treatment feel very personal.

The atmosphere was perfect: everything was spotless, the music and scents were beautifully chosen, and the whole environment was calm and welcoming. The massage itself was deeply relaxing — we left feeling completely refreshed and peaceful.

A big thank you to Vanessa and Miriam for making this such a special part of our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Il Melograno!

Nice but not five stars
Pros:

Nice but not five stars (as claimed). Hotel needs to improve its maintenance as some areas are neglected and worn, such as a stains on the pool walls, bedroom doors which let in light and insects, dirty areas... The staff are generally friendly but need better training. The breakfast buffet is an uncontrolled "feeding zone" where children are allowed to pick the food with their hands, breath/cough over the food, with staff not intervening, not to mention kids reeking havoc at all hours and yelling everywhere! This place would benefit from being 'adults only'.

Charming Countryside Hotel Outside of Monopoli
Pros:

Lovely 2 night stay in this hotel in the olives groves outside Monopoli...The hotel room was nice and very comfortable, service was excellent. The restaurant was the best dinner meal we had during our trip in Italy. Pool was really nice! The challenge with the property is that it is a bit worn out and needs updating and refurbishing especially in the outdoor spaces.

Stunning place to relax and let the world go by. All the team were wonderful, starting with the check-in, and the sommelier at dinner was super too. The tasting menu was well worth trying, as is the courtesy shuttle to the private lido for an afternoon relaxation. Super place that I would highly recommend.

Excellent séjour au calme et à 2 pas de Monopoli
Attention cependant certaines chambres ont des entrées très basses ce qui est dangereux pour les personnes de plus d 1,75m qui doivent se pencher pour éviter de se taper la tête
Sinon le personnel est efficace et très agréable et le petit déjeuner délicieux
