Entspannte uns schöne Tage in einzigartiger Lage
Pros:

Die Lage ist einzigartig. Der Blick auf die Weinberge und das Gebirge im Hintergrund gepaart mit den schönen reetgedeckten Häusern - grandios. Das Personal ist freundlich und es blieb kein Wunsch unerfüllt. Der größere Pool ist ein toller Platz um sich zu entspannen und die Sonne zu genießen. Die Frühstücksauswahl ist super und wir haben es genossen draußen auf der Terrasse ausgiebig zu frühstücken.

Pros:

Außergewöhnliche einfach mal zum Abschalten und die Tolle Aussicht inhalieren

Cons:

Das Hotel besticht durch die überschauberkeit, dem überaus freundlichem Personal, der genialen Lage, dem sehr guten Essen und Trinken. Den einzigen Fehler den man machen kann es bei Verfügbarkeit nicht zu buchen.

Pros:

Staff were amazing. Wade, Manelise and a few waitresses in the restaurant. Facilities were beyond luxurious. Spa treatment was outstanding.

Overall a bit disappointing
Pros:

Initial greeting was phenomenal

Cons:

Asked for late check out due to flight change and partner being unwell but were unable to provide anything despite reception telling us the hotel was very quiet
Dinner food delicious but limited menu - ordered room service for variety
Pool area a bit neglected and not staffed… if you want drinks or food need to place a call. Area not checked during day so build up of used towels dishes etc

This could be a nice hotel, but needs more attentive management

Cons:

Rooms are a bit run down. The TV had only a few international channels. Staff in the dining room did not really look interested in their job. No buffet at breakfast, everything has to be ordered from the menu.

Traumhafte Anlage mit minimalem Abzug

Cons:

Das Abendessen am ersten Abend hat über eine Std gedauert und war kalt.
Es könnte hier und da Modernisierung vertragen.
Die Weinprobe war an der Rezeption von 5:30 Uhr bis 6:30 Uhr angekündigt worden. Als wir um 6:00 Uhr erschienen wurde uns gesagt, dass die Weinprobe nur bis sechs gegangen war und es wurde erst nach längeren Nachfragen widerwillig ein Wein ausgeschenkt. Für ein Hotel dieser Klasse und bei dem Preis, haben wir das als unnötig, überraschend und leider auch unprofessionell erlebt.

Cons:

Уборщица украла из сейфа 900$ (воспользовалась мастер ключом). Когда я вернулся в номер я и не понял что произошло, но сейф больше не принимал мой код. Пришел техник и открыл его мастер ключом , деньги в сейфе были но я их не пересчитал. Понял что их украли уже когда покинул отель. Будьте осторожны деньги в сейфе и ценности тоже могут украсть из сейфа

Schöne Pool Area und schöner Blick von der Terrasse aus

Leider entsprach unser Aufenthalt im Grand Roche Hotel absolut nicht unseren Erwartungen und schon gar nicht den Bildern, die online präsentiert werden.
Schon der Start verlief holprig: Obwohl wir pünktlich zur Check-in-Zeit anreisten, war unser Zimmer noch nicht fertig. Wir wurden gebeten, im hauseigenen Restaurant zu warten. Leider hielt man es dort nicht für nötig, uns für die Wartezeit auch nur ein Glas Wasser oder einen Kaffee als kleine Entschuldigung anzubieten – von Gastfreundschaft fehlte hier jede Spur.
Das erste Zimmer, das wir schließlich bekamen, war stark abgewohnt und roch unangenehm muffig. Es hatte rein gar nichts mit den schönen Fotos im Internet zu tun. Besonders das Badezimmer war ein Schock: Es schien über 30 Jahre alt zu sein, mit stark vergilbten Armaturen und einer unschönen Atmosphäre.
Nach unserer Beschwerde an der Rezeption erhielten wir ein neues Zimmer, das uns als Upgrade verkauft wurde. Aber auch hier wurden wir enttäuscht. Das Zimmer roch ebenfalls muffig und war total veraltet. Zu allem Überfluss hatten wir hier ein Problem mit Ameisen, die sich sowohl an den Fenstern als auch im Badezimmer tummelten.
Auch der Service und die Erholung kamen deutlich zu kurz. An einem Tag unseres Aufenthalts wurde das Zimmer komplett vom Reinigungspersonal vergessen. An Entspannung auf der Anlage war ebenfalls nicht zu denken: Ausgerechnet am schönsten Tag unseres Urlaubs wurden von morgens bis abends lautstarke Gartenarbeiten verrichtet, inklusive stundenlangem Rasenmähen und lautem Laubbläser.
Einen weiteren negativen Beigeschmack hinterließ das Frühstück. Erst an unserem allerletzten Tag wurde uns beiläufig mitgeteilt, dass das Wasser beim Frühstück nicht im Preis inkludiert ist und extra abgerechnet wird. Eine solche intransparente Preispolitik ist für mich inakzeptabel.

Absolutely great hotel - the best in Paarl!
Pros:

This is lovely hotel, with fabulous views over vineyards and the mountains beyond. We had a Terrace Suite, which was large and well decorated. Thatched ceiling - very authentic! Extremely comfy bed. Good walk in shower! Proper AC. The hotel is luxury on all accounts with an excellent restaurant, a big pool (un heated), tennis courts and they serve great wines from the owner's vineyard. The staff were very friendly and efficient. A very short stroll into the smart end of Paarl.
