the suite of rooms were excellent and authentic examples of early colonial homesteads.
Pros:

I would have preferred an element of self-service buffet-style with the option of ordering a cooked breakfast served on request. As everything was ordered at table from the menu, one had to rely on description rather than inspection to make one's choice. What was served was of good quality.

An excellent hotel
Pros:

We booked one night at the Grande Roche, but extended our stay as we were not feeling well. The hotel and staff were absolutely excellent and supportive. They kindly booked another night for us and did everything they could to make our stay as nice as possible. We can’t thank them enough.

The restaurant dinner was not good , not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel and unfortunately the wines by the glass are mostly not great quality and not a reflection of the wines of SA .

Tolle Anlage, guter Service mit starkem Nachholbedarf im Bereich der Hotelzimmer.

Wunderschöne Anlage in den Weinbergen gelegen. Toller Ausblick. Überwiegen sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Hervorragende Qualität an Speisen und Getränken.

Hotelzimmer sehr veraltet (alte Möbel, altes Bad), keine Terrasse/Balkon, stark veraltetes und teilweise dreckiges Bad
