Very cute, cozy areas in the lobby for groups to hang out.
This is a really nice boutique hotel in the north Buckhead area of Atlanta. It is certainly not your typical hotel/motel. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. I would definitely stay here on our next trip to ATL.
Great staff, classy place and all around good experience. Coming back next time I’m in ATL.
Best customer service I’ve ever experienced at a hotel.
Great hotel with unique flair.
Check-in was at 3 PM, but we arrived at 4 PM, and Donna, who was at the front desk was the only person available to check in, and she was on a phone call for the majority of the five minutes that we stood there.
We have to stay here before, and knew what to expect.
We took our bag to room, and came downstairs to go sit by the pool and get a drink. No one was available at the bar and we stood there for 10 minutes until the young lady that was working behind the bar came back with some boxes of drinks that she was real stocking the bar with.
Overall, it seemed that there was very little staff and no one to really help if you were standing and waiting.
We usually do a stay away in Buckhead or Atlanta once a month because we live south of the city, this is the second time we have been there, but this is probably the last time that we will stay here.
I think room service knocking on the door at 8 AM to clean the room when our checkout is at 11 AM was the final straw.
Street noise heard in the room. Great decor and clean. Room wasn’t ready had to downgrade to a queen from a king. Front desk agent wasn’t very cordial.
Bar and restaurant
Nothing
This is a beautiful and very comfortable hotel. It has a very calm atmosphere. Best of all, it is staffed with lovely and helpful people. We particularly enjoyed Mark at the bar who provided
an enjoyable meal service. Many thanks to the lovely lady attending the front desk during our stay.
This is a marvelous boutique hotel in downtown Buckhead, suburb of Atlanta. The rooms are great and the hotel bar and lounge very welcoming. The service is super with great attention to detail and more. And it is not outrageously priced. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant named Fia. It's a wonderful menu for any foodie and the servers know their wines and entree very well.
Our go to property in ATL
My husband and I just stayed one night at The Burgess and it will be the only. Buckhead is packed full of better options for hotels. I wanted to stay here because of the trendy themed rooms but come to find out you have to specifically request one of the themed rooms and was told to email the hotel ahead of next visit to get one of those room types, which is not explained anywhere.
My main problem with our stay was an immediate billing error upon check-in. I booked thru the Marriott app and paid with my Visa. At check-in, I was asked to put a card on file for incidentals, which is standard at every hotel. I put a different card on file for what I was told was only for incidentals. However, the newer employee proceeds to bill the wrong credit card for both the room charge and incidentals. I was incorrectly told they could not split the room charge and incidentals and that it would all have to charged to one card. So now I’ve got 2 credit card charges/authorization holding close to $1000 for a one night stay! Here we are a week later and I’m still waiting for one to drop off.
We paid $350 for one nights stay at this 4-star hotel. I could have stayed at the Intercontinental or The Whitley for less money and they are 5 star hotels. There are many better hotel options in that area. I don’t think we’d stay here again.
Wonderfully unique boutique hotel in the heart of Buckhead. Restaurant and bar were great. Rooms very comfortable and decorated beautifully. Does not feel like your staying in a cookie cutter style hotel.
