Nice touches, great mini bar options, comfy bed & pillows
It's a little tired. The room booked had a musty smell, carpet stain, stairs creaked. The staff were very accommodating and provided an upgrade without any fuss at all. Which we greatly appreciated. The second room was lovely, clean and much bigger providing room for luggage and quiet on the city side
The bed was fantastic and so comfortable. Loved the location.The building is full of history.
Restaurant on the wharf
"Kingsleys" the food was amazing.
The mugs dont fit under the coffee machine !! So you cant have a coffee.
The shower had mould in it, it needs a really good clean.
The hand held shower attatchment , was not flowing properly, due to mould or rust.
Buffet breakfast wasn't even warm.
No SBS on the TV upstairs and the world cup was on.
These thing are annoying when you are paying a premium price.

Staff are great. very friendly and helpful. Getting to the hotel is easy and in a great location .
When we booked we were not told that the hotel was being renovated and that most rooms were not available. In the first room we were given the air conditioning was not working and was set to 18 degrees making the room like a fridge. The second room we were moved to was a loft room and the air conditioning was not much better. This was the only other room they could offer and it was cramped and pokey.
The location was perfect, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful rooms and hotel interior! The candy bar was such a fun touch, and the breakfast was delicious.
The only issue we had (at no fault of the hotel) was fellow guests letting their small child swim naked in the hot tub. We left the pool when that happened.
We had the most amazing wedding at Ovolo Wooloomooloo and couldn't have chosen a better venue. The staff were always polite, friendly, helpful and professional, and our wedding planner, Ana, was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process.
The hotel itself is stunning, with the ACDC Suite offering incredible views over Woolloomooloo Wharf and the heritage-listed Piper Room providing a beautiful and unique wedding setting. The food was exceptional! Delicious, high quality and enjoyed by all our guests. We highly recommend this venue for anyone planning their special day and the ACDC room for an extra special stay!
Loved being able to walk to the Opera House via the Botanic Gardens from the hotel. Great pubs around for a meal. Loved the pool & spa. Good buffet breakfast - liked the healthy juice ‘shots’.
I was disappointed that we were ‘upgraded’ to another room without any prior communication. I understand that they were renovating and that it was out of their control, but it would have been good to know beforehand.

We have stayed many times as we have family living in the beautiful wharf that the hotel fronts. Locations is great for walkers and plenty of great restaurants downstairs for dining. Unfortunately we never get time to use all the facilities Ovolo have to offer.
Location is absolutely fantastic; close to many bars and restaurants and a short walk around Mrs Macquarie's Chair, which was great at sunrise.
I was upgraded to a loft room on arrival - very spacious! Lolly bar was a unique touch in the lobby and in room sound system was amazing. The staff were pleasant and the coffee shop right out the front knows how to make a good coffee.
Bathroom was a little unclean - perhaps a little worn / tired, but again, spacious with a large bath and great shower.

We loved our room overlooking the wharf toward the museum of contemporary art.
The Neighbourhood here and location is fantastic for walking anywhere you wanna go in downtown Sydney. Thank you all Ovolo Sydney for making this a memorable one time lifetime trip to Australia for us!
