Tadao Ando World
Pros:

Je zit in een soort Tadao Ando attractiepark. Prachtige grote luxe kamers. Alle Ando gebouwen. De kas vooral. Vergeet ook de kapel niet te bekijken. En het conferentiecentrum. En er zit een heel leuk rommelig museum ergens verborgen in de buurt van het terrein. Dat geeft wat menselijkheid aan al dat betonnen geweld. Het gigantische ontbijtbuffet heeft een softijs machine!

Cons:

Ik wist het van tevoren en ik ging speciaal voor dit resort hier naartoe maar er is weinig anders in de buurt. Behalve natuurlijk de watertempel ook van Tadao Ando.

Great Service and Location
Pros:

Service of staff, from the door to the reception was excellent and helpful. Free parking was great! Enjoyed the buffet breakfast tremendously. Location close to a botanical garden (go early), so you can get some walking in.

Cons:

No on-site onsen. Separate charge for spa.

Goed hotel, maar wat outdated.
Pros:

Mooie grote ruime kamer met fantastisch uitzicht. Het ontbijt en lunch buffet was erg ruim en lekker.

Cons:

Dat je moet bijbetalen om in het binnen zwembad te mogen zwemmen (buiten was al gesloten). Wat we jammer vonden was dat van de architectuur van Ando in het hotel niets “over” was, binnen zag het eruit als een gewoon, iets wat saai hotel. Het onderhoud hield niet over. De mooie architectuur en de omliggende tuinen zijn allemaal een beetje verwaarloosd, het geeft een beetje een sfeer van vergane glorie. Maar dat laatste valt niet onder het beheer van het hotel (neem ik aan). Als je dit hotel (en de bijbehorende omgeving) boekt om te genieten van de architectuur van Ando, is het toch wat teleurstellend.

Pros:

Great location to celebrate Tadao Ando. The hotel is renovated and very nice and the Ando gardens are amazing in the morning. Do not miss it if you are around. The chapel is not to be missed (in the hotel) and so is the restaurant

Cons:

The rest of the grounds (gardens and building around) would need a refresher, but it is still great Ando architecture
