We really enjoyed our stay due to the spectacular nature and sightseeing. The places are gorgeous, but that is not thanks to the resort. We also really enjoyed the food that we had in Mangata Bistro. It was very well prepared and appreciated. However, Ayer's Rock resort - being the only choice of accomodation in the location, should improve their services and standards or align the prices to what they provide. The entire look and feel of the place seems outdated, from the choices of outside colours of the buildings to the aspect and cleanliness inside the room. It is appreciated that they try to support aboriginal people to be integrated in the hospitality services, however, they need to also have knowledgeable staff to meet customer demands. We appreciate they offered a bottle of wine for my husband's birthday at our request.
We had higher expectations for the room standard and for the services provided at a price of more than 400 AUD/ night (breakfast not included). The room we stayed in was in need of upgrade. There was no way to hang clothes (no wardrobe or hangers available). The smell of the room was constantly damp and bad. The carpet was/ felt dirty. The bathroom was not clean and in need of upgrades. The was no sound proofing to speak of. One morning, somebody was blowing leaves and "cleaning pathways", but the dirt was blown under the door into our room. The restaurant staff needed training on how to manage various situations (at peak hours -during dinner time- there was no trained bartender to attend guests and remaining staff seemed overwhelmed with the work). There appeared to be no leadership/ management. The breakfast tables arrangement was poor as two tables were placed in the access way next to the buffet for water dispensers / cereals. There was definitely a lot of room for improvement in the restaurant and in the entire management of staff.

Great hotel with super staff!
Really enjoyed this lovely hotel, great place and nice restaurant. Clean and friendly staff
Good location
The restaurants at some of the other hotels were probably a bit better
Habitaciones amplias
Precios absurdos.
I found the bed very comfortable.
