Cons:

The room air-conditioning was turned off, this applied to all rooms. We were told it couldn't be turned on this time of year.

Fabulous central stay in the old town

Perfect location in the old town & near all attractions including the river

The perfect hotel in Riga

Gute Auswahl an frisch zubereiteten Speisen beim Frühstück, sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das Gebäude hat einen gewissen historischen Charme. Gute Lage

Cons:

Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Bäder renovierungsbedürftig, sehr hellhörig ( jeder Schritt eines Gastes im Zimmer darüber war zu hören).Teppiche und Vorhänge fleckig, die Zierkissen vergilbt und schmutzig, die Sessel durchgesessen. Der Zigarrenrauch aus der Bar wabert durch die Lobby bis zu den Zimmern. Das "Gym" ist eine winzige, dunkle Kammer im Keller mit drei Geräten und Kurzhanteln auf einem Ständer am Gang, der Fernseher ist winzig, die Klimaanlage ist schmutzig, ohne Fernbedienung. Kaffee/ Teekocher schmutzig und stark verkalkt. Für 3 Sterne Kategorie akzeptabel, keinesfalls für 5 Sterne/ Small Luxury Hotels, wie angepriesen. Sehr enttäuschend.

Pros:

I liked everything!
Excellent interior and reception!
Excellent location, a few meters from the square of the Old City of Riga.
Big and clean rooms, very good breakfast.
Not expensive for the facilities.

Perfect hotel in Riga old town
Pros:

Beautiful little hotel in the most perfect location in Riga, small but Grand indeed. Wonderful friendly and attentive staff, fabulous breakfast and the cutest hotel mascot Misha the bird! The rooms are exactly how a luxury hotel should be. Spacious, comfortable, well designed and decorated, warm and cosy - the under floor bathroom heating was a nice touch. Loved everything about this place.

Cons:

Nothing a truly perfect a stay

(Not a necessity but a pool would have been nice but the hotel is too small for that. The spa is just a sauna room, massages can be arranged locally but we were happy to just use the small gym).
