We were there overnight. Didn’t have much to do with staff as we took on our bags up with us to the room as there seemed

Location was great.
Had a great view of centre point from our window.
All in all was fine and pleasant.

Cons:

Our room fridge wasn’t on and I couldn’t work out how to turn it on as the plugs were hidden.
This sink in the bathroom didn’t empty unless you emptied it.

Stay was comfortable and pleasant. The location is great very central to everything.
Pros:

Central location.

Cons:

The lifts to the rooms and lobby at times were very slow as only one was working at one stage. 25 minute wait as they were full several times and we had to wait. No stair use either as an alternative.,

Great location, lovely staff!
Pros:

Proximity to the state theatre and the staff were wonderful

Cons:

The elevators seemed very slow! And unable to verify Wilson's parking without a physical ticket but able to show on the app.

The fact that you can’t even crack a window for fresh air, had to leave 6 hours early due to allergies caused by aircon. Not blaming them but I feel like it should be mentioned when booking.

Great place to stay to attend State Theatre event
Pros:

Just across the road from the State Theatre. Perfect if you are attending an event there. Parking is tricky and can be expensive. You can park at various stations within walking distance, at a cost

Cons:

I really didn’t like the deposit not being refunded for 5 to 7 days. We stayed last Friday, the deposit is still sitting on my credit card 5 days later. When contacted the hotel apparently it takes 5 to 7 days for the deposit of $50 to be taken off the credit card. This feels unnecessary, and annoying. Hopefully Swissotel won’t forget to refund it. Don’t know where my $50 is at the moment.

Pros:

The hotel itself absolutely lovely and classy. The rooms were spacious and hallway was spacious.
