"I was disappointed with my recent stay. The pillows were twin-size, which were too small for the king-size bed. When I requested an extra pillow, I was told it's one per room. Similarly, when my husband asked for towels, we were told one per room. I ended up buying beach towels from Target for pool use because, honestly, I wouldn't want to share a towel with anyone – husband, mom, or anyone else. I mean, someone's gonna get a soaking wet towel, and then what?

I also felt like the staff wasn't very welcoming when they came to check on the room. I've stayed at hotels 4-5 times a year and have learned to be careful, but this experience was particularly bad. I've tried American Inn before and liked it, but they need to work on towel and pillow situations. The rooms were nice, big, and spacious, but the service felt lacking.

As a former hotel manager, I know how important it is to make guests feel at home. I'd love to give American Inn another try, but I need to see improvements. I pay for a better room and expect better amenities. I'm not looking to steal a towel or pillow – I just want what I paid for. King-size beds should come with king-size pillows. Hopefully, they can work on making their guests feel more comfortable and valued."

Weekend away
Pros:

No complaints. Easy access on the south end of town. Big grocery store just down the road if needed. Hotel was clean, super easy fast check in due to doing it online before arrival. 2 floors, no elevator. Did not use pool. Hot tub was heated but not really hot. Big lobby, fireplace and tv.
Room was fine, microwave and fridge, comfortable bed. Standard hotel breakfast.
Overall good visit.

It was very good all around and we really appreciated the hot tub in particular
Pros:

The hot tub was the number one reason we chose this hotel and it was amazing for our aching muscles after moving all day.

Cons:

There was only strawberry cream cheese for the bagels. Having plain cream cheese seems like a nobrainer.

This hotel was ok but for the price we had to pay, it was not what we expected

The latest cation was good for our needs. The staff that was there was friendly

Cons:

2nd floor access is stairs only. We did not get the room we registered for. That may have been because we asked for early check in but it was only 1/2 hr earlier. The hot breakfast was not hot or very good. Couldn’t eat it.

Staff was feiendly

Cons:

Condition of bathroom floor/shower was worn with a lot of discolored caulking, appeared dirty (tile grout) and floor tile cracks; no bathroom fan.
Pillows were small and didn’t offer a variety of firmness
