Don’t bother stating there! Find somewhere nice

On checking-in we were told the room we requested wasn’t available but a 2 double bed was, we were happy with that, but then we were shocked by the patronising way we were told “you should be grateful for having a roof over your head” we were both shocked by such a rude an unnecessary statement, as we had paid for the room, IT WASN’T FREE!!!! Having said we had stayed before, we were told “there’s been many changes since then” obviously politeness has been removed? We would not recommend, stating there unless you want to be insulted!
