Room has a very bad smell,
Shower was filthy and when requested to move rooms, I was told that they couldn't help.
In addition, I complained the front desk member regarding issue with noise in the light and super early hours and was told
That I wouldn't have the issue anymore because those rooms would be vacant and trouble makers would be leaving that day. Well, all lies because the people was there and rowdier than ever. Needless to say, I was lied to and didn't get rest as expected.

Great stay
Had an enjoyable time, the rooms were newly renovated, however, ended up with a room that had fleas. We brought it to the staff’s attention and was easy to switch rooms, but the damage was already done, I will no long stay at this hotel during my visits. They stated they don’t have special rooms for people with pets.
I've stay at HIE before, but 1st at this location, very nice as well.
Everything was really great. The bathroom sink counter could’ve been a little cleaner. Enjoyed my stay and I will be back.
Staff was terrible and one was sleep in the morning prior to check out, they couldn’t provide receipt and charged me $50 after I paid Expedia. I have to wait 7 days for reimbursement. Bathroom had dirty stains in shower and bed was lumpy with a stain on one of the bed sheets. I think I’m done with staying at Holiday Inn.
The beds were a bit less comfortable than they used to be, and I think that's because during the remodel, platforms were installed instead of a box spring and the beds became a bit harder to sleep on. The breakfast food as pretty much the same as always - standard egg dish, sausage, etc. I do wish they had skim milk available, but only 2% is stocked in the refrigerator. The coffee is good though! And I'm not sure why, but there is only one ice maker and it's on the 3rd floor!
There is no vegetarian food option otherwise all of very good

Very nice
One night stop on our way home from Newark Airport. The young man at the front desk was welcoming and very quick to respond to an issue with the first room we were assigned. We had requested a room with a bed and a for out sofa bed but were initially given a room with only one bed and a chair which would not have been a good option for the extra person. However it was resolved quickly without a long wait. We appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the young man at the front desk.
I requested a king size bed. I got 2 queen size beds. When my wife got out of bed in the morning the entire bottom board and mattress fell to the floor with her on it. Fortunately she was not injured.
I reported the event to the manager.
Other than these two problems our stay was “ good”. Things happen. I understand.
Also the manager requested I call Holiday Inn Express directly to book a room in the future instead of booking through a third party.
There was a miscommunication between the third party reservation firm and Holiday Inn express.
I also requested a room specifically for the handicapped since both my wife and I have handicapped conditions. That was not given.
The breakfast was very nice.

The breakfast was lack luster with no waffles on a pancake machine that didn't work. Everything from the fitness center to the pool all was under construction with big plastic curtains separating the areas. My room wasn’t serviced 2 of the 3 days. All in all it didn’t make me feel valued and if these out of services items were not advertised then I would’ve went somewhere else. This experience was very deceitful. Would not recommend at this time.
