Hotel was recently renovated few years back, stayed after the strikes the labour union had.. as a result it is very posh modern now and less grandeur unlike the older CP Hotels / other fairmont properties in Canada and how it use to look. Much needed refresh that still looks great!
The front desk team were friendly and it is still a very busy front desk and lobby area. The process was fairly quick. The hotel is conveniently located above the VIA rail Transit system and close by to the international airport (22 min drive by taxi).
The common areas are clean, modern and spacious. It took a long wait for an elevator to arrive as the hotel was very busy during the Montreal pride and jazz/ music festivities - as a result, very full occupancy and many guests using the elevators.
The room was a good sized corner room with great views of the city and basilica adjacent to the hotel. Comfort in bedding, plush mattress and crisp white linens. Le labo “Rose” amenities that you expect at every Fairmont - leaves you feeling fresh. Bath robes in bathroom..
The room had dirty torn towels that seemed to be left over accidentally by housekeeping in the far right corner of the window sill.
Overall - the hotel is well appointed, central and a great choice when staying in DWTN Montreal!
Loved the facility and service. Super nice people
Excellent property in a fantastic location. We arrived and left via train, the station is underground beneath the hotel, lending welcome convenience to the trip. The area has many restaurants and attractions including the famous basilica across the street.
Rooms are comfortable and well maintained and the staff were wonderful to interact with.
Comfortable, clean room. Nice outdoor bar. Close to rail station.
It was very busy.
Right in the heart of Montreal and very convenient for everything to do.
I think it is a little overpriced
Arrived in Montreal by train but missed the lift directly to the hotel, would have been so handy 🤦♀️
From check in our experience was very good, staff were all friendly and very helpful.
Our room was clean and fresh, only (slight) downside was sound from bars but that ended about 10pm.
The club lounge was very comfortable, food was good and service excellent.
Would definitely return if in the area.
Ideally located for exploring.
Beautiful hotel with great service in both French and English. Excellent amenities. Clean rooms and friendly housekeeping. Perfect location to explore. It is even part of the underground city which connects to so much shopping, restaurants and more.
Clean and comfortable. Great location near to Old Town. Excellent swimming pool area.
Completely understand but a little disappointed that we weren't allowed a little peek inside John & Yoko's room. It was just a flat 'No'. Also, a little impersonal and conference-centre-ish.
Stayed here for two nights in on a work trip because my work meetings was right across the street. The hotel is fine. It’s a historic Fairmont property. My room was quite small, but was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was surprised that they didn’t replenish the tea the second day after I used some. When I checked in there was only one desk working and it took a while to get my room key. The hotel is popular with bus tours. The hotel is fine but it’s not cheap. For the price it could have been a bit more luxurious.
Very comfortable spacious rooms with view across the city. Good location for business district. Excellent breakfast
No robes in the room, had to be requested
