Very upset
Pros:

Location was fantastic

Cons:

My daughter had a very bad reaction to the chemicals used in the pool and her feet were cut very badly on the bottoms. When I told the front desk at checkout they didn’t care at all.

Choose the Fairmont Pacific Rim Instead
Pros:

If you’re trying to decide between the Fairmont Waterfront and Fairmont Pacific Rim, I’d encourage you to consider the Pacific Rim. We stayed over the past weekend at the Waterfront and while the room was luxurious with a great view, the service was more Marriott than Fairmont. Our room was not ready on time and when we arrived in it we found a toilet brush on our bathroom counter. (We had been told the room delay was because it had not yet been inspected.) Although the hotel moved us to a nicer room that night, the next day we asked that we have our room made up early both days and, on the following day, it did not happen. We needed to leave it to have it cleaned but as the lobby is quite small with a large couch and two chairs, there was nowhere for both of us to sit. The front desk nicely gave us drink and food vouchers. Finally upon check out the line was 6 deep. A manager came out to speak to one of the reps. She looked at us all standing in line but did not step up to help though there was a free terminal. I rated our stay only as poor and not terrible because the room and view were very nice - and the pricing quite good for a Fairmont. However in this case I got what i paid for.
