The staff is very friendly and attentive. The hotel is cozy and makes you feel at home. The food and drinks at the restaurant are excellent. The parking area, gardens, and surrounding neighborhood are beautiful. It's a wonderful place to stay!
Some room maintenance issues need attention, including a damaged sanitary valve, and a lampshade cover; items that required maintenance during different stays.
My impression of housekeeping remains the same. There is still room for improvement.

With Hilton Honors, you can check-in and access your room with your mobile app. It was so easy, we didn’t have to make contact with anyone the entire stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
It was a little loud at times, the walls are a slightly thin but it didn’t hinder our sleep.

Room was dated for a HGI. Wallpaper coming off the wall in the bathroom and the bath tub had wear marks all over it. The door handle came off the bathroom door when opening it. Bar had limited hours so we never ordered anything. Bed was nice though. Too expensive for dated rooms.

We stayed at this property for our family reunion. We were greeted by the manager, Michael Perry, who got us checked in early, which was a godsend after a long drive. He and his staff were professional and so friendly.
The property is very old and shows lots of signs of wear and tear. Our room was air conditioned but all of the hallways were insufferably HOT! Our room was a long way from the elevator and I was miserable walking in the halls. It was the same for the conference center. Every time we left the ballroom, we walked into a wall of heat. I would not go there in the summer.
The room was clean and had a fridge, microwave and Kurieg coffee maker. The comforter was clean but should signs of much wear.
The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. Every staff person I interacted with was friendly and helpful, sometimes going way out of the way to accommodate a need. The young man taking tickets at the restaurant, stopped and got me a glass of ice. I was delighted!
The banquet staff was excellent. Chris took care of all of our details. The food was very good and nicely seasoned.
Our family enjoyed the pool and all the seating outside.
There is one restaurant within walking distance called IVR. The food was so good!! It was a mixture of Indian, Mexican and Italian cuisine. The staff was so much fun!
Bottom line: The excellent staff made an average property work for our reunion.
The outside looked great but the room I was put in was so outdated and disgusting
