Everything was first rate and the location was exceptional.
Pros:

Most excellent location, you can walk to the downtown galleries, restaurants and shopping. The hotel has endearing charm, the rooms & lobby were decorated in southwest style with rustic furniture.

Cons:

I loved everything.

Lovely stay, very easy access to the plaza
Pros:

It is an older property, charming and very close to the plaza, loved the balcony/courtyard

Cons:

It was odd we had a staircase in the middle of the room, it took up a lot of room. Apparently this is for groups that want adjoining rooms.

Pros:

Location, location, location - We were able to walk almost everywhere during our stay in Santa Fe. The plaza and all the best shops are just around the corner. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Overall, our stay was quite enjoyable. Our suite was clean and the fireplace put it over the top.
Pros:

Not really much of a breakfast, just coffee, tea and a muffin. The location was excellent. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Loved the fireplace in the room and the staff came to start it very quickly upon request. Also, we were gifted a complimentary bottle of Proseco and some snacks for our anniversary which was very nice.

Cons:

The seating/couch in the suite was not comfortable. It was too deep for a normal sized person to sit comfortably. It either needs additional back cushions or a new style of couch. Also, the bar needs to provide different food options besides pizza.

Mediocre Hotel Near the Plaza
Pros:

The Hotel Chimayo is old and unfortunately is showing its age. The furniture in our room was well-worn, nicked and scratched. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. There is not enough light in the vanity/sink area. The hotel charges a $30 per day aminety fee for parking, bottled water, and a laughable breakfast snack.

The staff was helpful and friendly.

The best thing about this hotel is its location.
