Good Nite Inn - Redwood City

I stayed at the Good Nite Inn in Redwood city, anticipating at least a minuscule amount of cleanliness or service, but alas, no. The first day we walked in to the room, immediately got hit with a smell, not a particularly bad one, but not necessarily a good one. It smelled damp, but you know maybe it’s a one off thing, so we open the door to try and “air out” the room, immediate smell of poo. so now over the last 6 some days, we have to choose between the smell of diseased flesh, or the smell of black mold being created. And I MAYBE could excuse all of this if the AC worked, first night it was like the ice king blew through town, rest of the nights? sauna. The AC would be on for a total of 3 minutes before breaking down and going into a 30 minute downtime, and it sounded like an old rotary engine that was barely farting to life. The shampoo? It was GENUINELY dawn dish soap, my hair has never been drier, i would do some research on what the shampoo and body wash were given that it smelled like dawn dish soap and stripped every natural oil out of my hair, but the only labels on it are “HAIR” and “BODY”, so that goes out the door. speaking of the bathroom the toilet experience was actual Hell. I almost added onto the ambient poop smell because that toilet paper was thinner than tissue paper and the only thing those towels would be good for is wiping my cheeks because of how small they were, it was between that and a loincloth in terms of uses. Had to steal towels out of a plastic bag outside another room out of sheer desperation at the fact that we weren’t getting any new ones. Never even shared a pacing glance with room service or cleaners. 0/10 don’t recommend, and my experience definitely deserves some vulgarity but tripadvisor is forcing me to speak “calmly” so here yall go.

This was my second stay at Good Nite Inn and honestly, next time I visit the Redwood City area, I'll be choosing to stay here again. I've got nothing to complain about. Great price, clean, A/C, good room size, close to the airport - I payed less than 30 dollars for my Uber ride -. I felt safe to walk to Trader Joe's that is about 30 min walk from the Inn. And if you want, you can go for a swim in their pool, that looks nice and clean. So I definitely recommend staying here.

The room was very spacious and clean. I had a room where my balcony overlooked the pool. Only downside I wish the room had a microwave and maybe a grab and go breakfast. All the staff was friendly and polite. Great atmosphere and friendly vibe.

I cant remember there names but the staff is super friendly. My room was clean and spacious. This is a really great location. Love the pool. Walking distance for food. Definitely will be back.

Great hotel with free parking, clean and tidy. Staff are friendly. There are plenty of local restaurants around. The room had coffee making facilities, hair dryer, temperature control including air con. Hotel is clean, hygienic and secure.

Was in town for a couple nights to work Super Bowl weekend in Santa Clara and San Jose. This location was perfectly located right off the freeway. It's an older property, but the grounds were well kept and I felt safe. Arrived in the evening and was able to park my car close to the back entrance. No elevators, so if you're on the 2nd floor be prepared to lug your bags up the stairs.

The room was spacious, clean and minimal. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice. I was very pleased with these accommodations, the price was readonable and would recommend to anyone passing through. Conveniently located to gas stations, local restaurants, stores and was adjacent to an IHOP. Staff at check in and check out were friendly. Thank you for the great stay!

Good Nite Inn in RWC has been a staple for me! The staff have been absolutely wonderful and the rooms are satisfyingly clean. I've stayed here so many times it's now my 2nd home. Kudos to James, Maria, and the rest of the GNI Team!

Check in was a breeze. Parking was real close till I had to leave for a while and the place filled up. Rooms here have always been clean.

Excellent value for money, spacious room, super convenient to hop on and off the freeway and quiet rooms considering it’s right off 101! Perfect spot if in town on a low budget business trip!

The staff checking in was very friendly and helpful. It was very conveniently located off the freeway with an ihop right there. There was plenty of parking available. The room was very spacious which was nice and had a cute little balcony set up. It was a nice place to stay to be close to Filoli to see the Dambo Trolls exhibit.

When I come for business I always stay here, Good Nite Inn in Redwood City. Easy to get on the freeway, convenient for the airport, safe, large clean rooms. The staff are now friends. I’m welcomed warmly. The best part yet is the courtyard pool. Sparkling clean and a great place to enjoy some work outside with coffee. A hidden gem.
