buen servicio y calidad precio
I absolutely LOVE this place! So clean and safe. We were thinking of getting a well priced hotel to just sleep so we could go across the border and ended up being one of our favorite spots we have been to. Staff is amazing! It’s very nostalgic with the decor, it’s fun and clean and the water pressure is to die for!
We will be back!
Everything about the stay is easy. Easy parking, easy check in, easy access to the highway. We have stayed there before and will stay there again.
Cool retro aesthetic
Low availability of ingredients on cafe menu, not pet-friendly.
The Rambler Motel is a little gem. It was quiet, comfortable, clean, and located perfectly for what we needed.
Pretty much everything
The property was really nice and location was great. We took the trolley which was walking distance so that was convenient for us to get into town. Location was perfect too, it was quiet and chill and not a lot of cars driving around. The pool was cool and the coffee shop they had was good too. Only issue I had was the amount of time it took to get our food and coffee from the rambler coffee shop. But I think it just too busy and staff was overwhelmed.
Everything was good to me. For the value it was great.
Had a really pleasant stay at this hotel again and choose The Rambler as my preferred hotel when in the area. The overall atmosphere has a relaxed, late-70s Southern California summer vibe that feels laid-back and welcoming without trying too hard. The bed was very comfortable making it easy to sleep well each night. The bathroom was clean and well maintained, with excellent hot water pressure—always a plus. The hotel offers the usual amenities, all in good working order. Parking was plentiful and easy, which made coming and going stress-free. The on-site café was a nice surprise, with a good, varied menu that made it easy to grab and go at ant time or sit and order a coffee and snack or sandwich. Location is another strong point: close to the interstate, marina, bay, and a nearby park, with restaurants and a mall about a five-minute drive away, and several places walkable.
Staycation was worth the late night visit. It was about convenient location and attractions all around us. We were steps away from living coast center, casino next door, a bike trail, Gaylord resort, McDonald's, gas station up block. Late night shenanigans with friends from outta town brought me here for privacy and space from my local home. Will come back when we have more time to do everything else local! 10/10
We loved our stay at the Rambler! The room was so clean and had a nice, neutral smell. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. If we stay in the San Diego/Chula Vista area again, we will be back. Thank you!
From the time I reserved my room until I left, the staff were wonderful.
Having access to a bike while there made my stay incredible.
I've stayed here many times and would love to come back, but it's a shame the coffee shop will stop giving discounts on 1/1/26. My medium coffee with breakfast bagel/egg/+bacon was $10, which was $3 less than a similar McDonald's meal, and a $5 discount from the regular price. The coffee is not bad black. Didn't need creamer. Good but could be improved. Light nears better than starbucks though! The cheaper rooms are on the freeway side so there's car noise there. I prefer staying on the bay side. Can I suggest at least a 2 or 3% discount at the coffee shop for guests?
