Nice room. Beds were comfortable. Very good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
Noise from an event being held downstairs.
Breakfast really good, bed very comfortable, room very good.
nothing all good.
The staff were very accommodating and thoughtful. ( one member of staff even knocked on the door with a really comfortable dog bed for our disabled dog to use and he has slept more there than where my fience lives)
I liked the fact there was good security so no one could get into the room when we were out .
There was a quick hassle free check in.
There was history of the area on the walls.
There was reasonably priced food even though we didn't have any on this occasion
Everything
Need to pay for overnight parking
All very good
Having to pay for parking
Clean, staff friendly and helpful, lovely breakfast and though limited menu evening meal was lovely
Bed was uncomfortable, quite hard and pillows very large but not much give in them
Pillows two pillows were too high and just one pillow was too low
Room 206 prepared to a military perfection. Please ensure the housekeeping member of staff preparing the room for PM Friday arrival is duly complimented. Sharing our server on Friday night was excellent company. I hope I have spelt his name correctly. He is from Nepal.

Clean and great parking
Even though the receptionist was lovely, we weren't told about bar/food facilities. The time we arrived we were hungry and had to go out for food.
Lovely stay and great breakfast following an excellent music event, however received a £60 parking fine today although we registered our car as advised at reception. Not at all happy !!
Being able to shop locally
Beds. Room was uncomfortable. cold. Bedding was poor quality with covers that were well used.
for what should have been comfortable it was not. Towels were small and bath mat small floor verycold.
Spacious room. Good breakfast spread. Clean.
Cistern water refill very slow & frustrating. Toilet flush weak.Total scam with free washing machine use for house guests as the machine was not even working well. Clothes in dryer still very wet after 3 hours. Rest at hotel turned into hard labour trying to dry clothes on time for check-out next day. Staff had no idea how to solve the problem besides apologising and still insisted over and over again that machine was functioning. Lost precious time to this empty promise as self-service laundry were closed for the day by the time they accepted that the machine malfunctioned. Felt discriminated as Asians by unproductive questions like where we were from & undermining our ability to conclude that the machine was faulty. Badly trained staff, in particular lady named Romia haughty answers & rude. No Plan B solution whatsoever. In short, no heart for hospitality. Period. Not sure who decided to waive parking charge or in-house dinner cost, but if it was to pacify us, it did not work. Left the hotel disgusted that HILTON let us down so badly.
Lovely hotel, second stay here and a nice place to stay
Oh only negatives was our bed was so noisy, slightest movements and was so noisy. The breakfast we found the hot food only luke warm.
Everything was great for this stay and we had breakfast and lunch there too - very good. Staff were great. On this occasion the price was just right but I have seen it overpriced at times...'dynamib' pricing I suppose. Excellent stay this time.
All good, the only, tricky one, to improve is the slight tension feeling there may not be any cat parking spaces evennif tou have paid for that for your stay.
Comfortable and clean room. Friendly and welcoming staff on reception - always greeted with a smile, and they were always willing to help. The bar was well stocked, and the young man tending bar was really helpful on the Thursday and Friday evenings. Breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice and quite a relaxed atmosphere.
Sometimes, I struggled to get the attention of staff in the restaurant, eg., My first evening, I planned on desert after my dinner. Unfortunately, I waited so long for someone to notice me that I gave up and let bar staff know to charge what I had eaten to my room. Food wasn't cheap, so it would have been good if staff were a little more attentive. There were only three customers in the restaurant so it wasn't busy. A shame as other interactions had been really positive across the hotel.
top class Chinese New Year Buffet, we all know hotel buffet dinners can be very hit & miss, well the Chinese New Year celebration buffet dinner last night was fantastic. The options were extensive, with a great selection of starters, mains & desserts .... for me it was a complete main's party...a bit of everything! Shrimp Fried Rice was super tasty & the Noodles full of flavour but the stand-out dish was the Stir Fried Beef, fresh , tasty the perfect hit of chili - delicious. All for a brilliant price!! So well done to the F&B team & special mentions to all the kitchen team & chefs - so if there is a buffet at the HGI Abingdon definitely give it a go
Great position and an excellent hotel. Very nice staff.
Nothing
We had a very nice lunch in the restaurant. The food was good and reasonably priced whilst the staff were first class - efficient, extremely pleasant and well worthy of a mention here.
