Location
Almost everything except the location! I'd booked 2 King rooms specifically for the extra large double beds only to find both rooms were queen rooms with smaller beds - went to reception to question this and was asked why it was an issue because "there's a sofa bed in there" - I didn't want or need a sofa bed that wasnt even made up! Apparently there was only 1 King room available to move to however when I looked directly at the Hilton website they still had King rooms available?
Restaurant at dinner was an absolute shambles! Our group of 4 arrived about 6.45pm, ordered starters, waited 45 minutes for them to arrive. Ordered mains and waited almost an hour and 20 minutes for them to be served. Half of the food was cold and had to be sent back and one of the steaks was so overcooked it was a joke. Apparently they were short staffed in the kitchen and they were obviously aware of this but continued to let people be seated for food without even informing them there would be delays with service. A number of other diners were also complaining about the delays too. Our server, John, was very apologetic about the wait but in a hotel operating under the Hilton brand, this was just bad management and should not have occurred.
Very disappointing stay and I will not be returning or recommending this hotel.
Quiet. Away from traffic .
Staff were all excellent, restaurant and bar were great.
Everything was good.
Clean and comfortable and quiet at night
Nothing
Car park cost £15.
Great staff, great hotel😁
Sayed who checked us in was very kind and helpful
Booming music which was painfully loud and put us off having a drink at the bar
Location
Toilet 1st room broken , 2nd room TV never worked . Bed uncomfortable. Smell of sewage in room corridors, food prices for burger ridiculous, 15pound to park car for 12 hours
Our room had everything we needed , it was lovely and clean . The meal we had in the restaurant was enjoyable and the staff were always friendly. We would definitely book again next time we are visiting the South .
The waffle maker was a nice touch for breakfast.
King size bed very comfortable. Good breakfast selection. Great location for Abingdon and Oxford.
Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious food . Clean bedroom and en-suite. So handy to the A34 and buses to Oxford. We always stay at Hilton Garden Inn when we are visiting friends in Abingdon.
