Great little hotel with live music on the Friday special mention to Brian at the bar who make our night with special cocktails

The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean

Rhythm and Rice Friday night with the one eyed man was outstanding. The food , the entertainment was spectacular . It is the most fantastic night out, we have been to a few times now. Harriot who sang the first time we attended, sang softly on the background, sang 40s and 50s dressed the part too... It was truly stunning. We also attended the country night at the Hotel Saturday night and I can only say what a fabulous evening it was. Keeley was the perfect hostess, making sure the even ran smoothly and always going above and beyond. All the other staff that were there, Patrica, Brian, Jasper, Cami and Alan were so much fun, attentive and eager to please. But HUGE shout out to the Chef Ainsroy, thank you for THE BEST FOOD at rhythm and rice , omg amazing and then the Western BBq , I don't think you can top that. It was deeeeelishous. I would highly recommend this venue for a fantastic night out. We have also stayed in the hotel and it was one of the most dreamy night sleep we have had.

Clean and comfortable rooms good breakfast

Held my Daughters 21st Birthday party here and was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Can’t fault a single thing. All staff very polite and accommodating. Was a fabulous evening. Thank you everyone for a great night.

Meeting up with friends. We checked and went to our room. Already hot after a long journey we both showered and changed. Asked at reception to call a cab please, which we have done on previous stays. No you have to book it yourself on the desk.. UNITAXI.
After a lovely evening with our friends at their home, we returned. So not pleasant. The room was hot and air conditioning not working. Boiling outside just increased our sweat box. So he goes to complain. Meet another guest with same issue and we were told it would be reset! Well that didn't work. Off to complain again solution a fan!.
After breakfast.
We packed and went to hand over our key cards. Meet a very apologetic member of staff called Afghani. Given 2 bottles of water for our journey home with the promise of a better stay next time!
Stay next time, you fell short of this stay. 2 bottles of water to compensate for the sweat box of room and no sleep.

Nice hotel but the ac is inadequate when the temperature is above 28C (82 F). We knew there was a problem when we drove into the carpark and room windows were open. The lobby was cool but the room was hot. It did have a fan which should not be needed if the air conditioning was set at a reasonable temperature. I asked at the desk if there was a problem with the ac and was told that it was set centrally. This is a good hotel but I would not recommend to stay here when the temperature is over 28C.

Room and hotel facilities were fine but appalling service, refusing to refund a double-charged bill.

Location for walking in to Abingdon along the River Ock was lovely. Also perfect for nice dog walking on the doorstep.
Air conditioning was excellent so during the heatwave this was lovely.

Stayed here to visit Oxford. Located near multiple stores including a Tesco extra with its own petrol station. A couple of minutes walking distance from the hotel. Very handy if you don't fancy paying more for the breakfast on offer at the hotel or want to pick up some cheaper groceries. Plenty of other options available if the mood suits you. There's a few bus stops on the other side of the hotel car park which we used to travel to the centre of Oxford for £3 to £4, with buses going quite frequently, and taking about 40 minutes to get there. Really convenient. Made the whole trip so easy once we got our bearings. We picked this hotel as rooms were air-conditioned (temps were 30 degrees plus when we stayed) and at first weren't sure if it was working. The hotel lobby area and restaurant felt noticeably cooler compared to the room. However, other hot spots in the hotel made us realize the aircon did work. Events were ongoing at the hotel such as music performances for those interested. From our room though we couldn't hear any of it. Noise on the whole was not an issue. Hotel also had a small gym which was nicely cooled (always a bonus with temperatures being what they were) with decent equipment. Also had a laundry for guest use with charges for use of products (we didn't use it but I wonder if you could bring along your own detergents etc if planning a longer stay? worth checking with the hotel).
Room was well furnished with iron and ironing board, tv, fridge, kettle etc. Bath was clean and came with handwash (much appreciated, prefer that to a bar of soap), shampoo, conditioners etc.
Ample space for parking. With charges of £15 per night. Not sure how that compares to other ones in the area. Seems like a standard price for the Hiltons we've stayed at.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't need to contact them for much but help was quick to come when we requested something.

This hotel is average. It did the job for us, for a one night stay.

The bed is extremely uncomfortable though- it feels like you are sleeping on bricks! There is considerable road noise too.

The room was lrge and the bathroom excekkent. The bed was comfy and the breakfast in the morning was just what I needed.

I had the pleasure of staying here for work purposes in April for 10 nights and it was indeed a positive experience.

The room - decent sized, quiet and very clean including a good sized fridge which was a lifesaver for me as I was there for a long period of time. Despite the proximity to quite a busy road, if the window was closed, it was quiet - air conditioning is available in the room.

Location - close to a big supermarket and a retail park with other shops across the road including a large gym. Easy walk into Abingdon town centre which is quite flat. Great for an evening walk.

Breakfast - it is your standard selection that is repeated in every hotel nowadays however it was very good and freshly cooked. Even the presentation of it was excellent.

Dinner - this is where it loses points, on 3 occasions I had to send food back, each time being a portion of chicken wings which were either fried to a point they were completely inedible or on one occasion, came with a garnish of a large hair. Not a great experience.

Gym - if you’re there for a night or two, it’s got a cable machine, bike and treadmill so it’s good for a workout

Staff - all extremely friendly and helpful from the reception staff at check in to the bar and restaurant staff. Truly excellent

During the day, there is a large number of people in the lobby working on laptops and tablets, there seemed to be a group working as part of the hotel management. Seemed to be a form of supervision of the staff but at the same time, seemed to be sitting about doing nothing on their laptops with spreadsheets. Not a great look and they definitely stood out from others who were there on business.

All in all, really enjoyed it. The garden space at the back was brilliant for enjoying an evening drink. If I’m ever staying in the area again, I’ll definitely consider staying there again for either work or a personal trip.
