It was a good place to stay for what we set out to do in Cape Town.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast. Great location for the Company's Gardens and Kloof St.
Easy access for trip to Table Mountain and Signal Hill.
Free shuttle to the V&A Waterfront was a nice bonus.

Cons:

The room was noisy. We had a mountain view room on the 2nd floor. Hence the view was restricted by adjacent buildings.
Also, being directly above the entrance meant for a lot of noise, in addition to the traffic noise.
Apart from the noisy room, the bar / lounge area was not very convivial.

Served its purpose
Pros:

The location and surroundings, it was clean, beds were comfy and the receptionist was friendly.

Cons:

The wifi was very weak, I couldn't even have a phone call on whatsapp. Our aircon was set on a timer or something and everytime it switched back on, it made a terrible, rattling sound. Eventually we had to turn it off because it made it impossible to sleep. The pool area can also be given some TLC with small things like putting plants in the empty planters, providing towels, re-filling the empty shower gel container. TVs can also be upgraded as the quality was very bad.

Not what I had expected.
Pros:

The view of the table mountain and the free shuttle to the nearby mall.

Cons:

Upon entering the property there is smell of kitchen food at the reception even inside the property. At times it was a smell of old cooking oil. Additionally the curtains in our room had a lingering smell of dust and the tile in the shower was not clean as well. The breakfast menu was displeasing too.

Very satisfied, so that I decided to extend my stay.
Pros:

The friendly and professional staff, the location, the views, the breakfast, the cleaningness.

Cons:

The rooms need some more new electricity plugs and adaptors for non-UK visitors. In the bathroom, it would be good to have a detachable shower head, on top of the fixed one.
