Beautiful old English manor dating back to the 1500's. Huge manicured grounds surround the building. We were only there for one night. There is a Michelin star restaurant on property. But we just had a light dinner and drinks in the bar. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and well stocked. Be aware that a big part of the charm is because it's an older building so I dont know if it had an elevator. We were on the second floor (third level) and it wasn't a problem walking up to our room.
This was our first visit but certainly won’t be our last. What a beautiful discovery, staff, service and experience far exceeded our expectations. Thank you to all who welcomed us.
It just is a decorated stable not self-claimed 5 star small luxury hotel!
Perfect! 😊
Beautiful country hotel near Windsor. Fabulous decor, swimming pool set in beautiful grounds. Afternoon tea was amazing. Highly recimmend.
Lovely historic building with nice rooms and attractive grounds. Some of the staff are very good while others are not of the standard you would expect for a hotel with this star rating. Food was ok in the estate restaurant but at the upper end of pricing for the quality of food and wine available
What a wonderful surprise, hotel, grounds staff, food, room was amazing, quiet, peaceful room, gardens were spectacular
Can't wait to go to London again so we can stay at Great Fosters again!
Lovely hotel, a really impressive building and gardens with a wonderful array of original features and a great outdoor pool. The staff were excellent, polite, friendly and helpful. And the food and cocktails were lovely.
Nice enough but generally a bit tired. The room and bathroom in particular felt dated and in need of a refresh.
Staff excellent .pool hot not sure why
Great outdoor space for small-medium dogs to run around, not too busy so human can enjoy a nice drink on the terraces. The room was basic but comfortable, no shower with a hose to wash your dog, so a bit tricky to clean your dog. Food is very limited for vegan and staying with a dog, only a few dishes. Good for 2 nights stay.
Historic buildings come with some quirks!
Great Fosters is a beautiful hotel, with stunning grounds and an idyllic heated outdoor pool. Our more modern room - a super spacious king suite - was comfortable and air conditioned. Breakfast was of a good standard, a bit limited compared to my expectations but good quality. Our only complaint was that drinks service in the bar was painfully slow.
Great property. I wish the landscaping was better. Our bath room had crack ceramic tiles. Apart from these it is still a beautiful place with a relaxing vibe.
This is a lovely hotel really nice location surroundings are beautiful. Rooms are comfy it's modern even though the building and surroundings are historic. Largely it's great
Be mindful of rooms. Mine although comfortable with the window open I could hear car doors slamming at 6am and noisy talking in other rooms
I found it strange to be offered late checkout only to be found that it came at a cost. That cost of £50 didn't give me the luxury to carry on using the pool till the end of the day and only to the end of the late checkout which seems a bit unnecessary
The pool service was very slow and I found it very strange to be served by men in shoes and suits. All unnecessarily stuffy.
Unobtrusive luxury!
Beware: This hotel does not allow children at the pool during the day. We landed and arrived by noon, they did not offer a room until later in the day nor did they offer any alternate suggestions for us to enjoy ourselves on the property since we could not use the pool. They did not provide a map or any helpful info. Suggesting it might be a 3 star hotel. The restaurants are legit yet expensive, our room was good enough. Service with hotel management was poor.
This is a beautifully situated property with stunning gardens and a very well preserved and extended historic building .
My one gripe would be that breakfast, albeit set within a beautiful hall was a long wait
Definitely a hotel i would go back to and recommend
A unique and beautiful hotel. Thoroughly revommend
The hotel is charming and the grounds are beautiful. However, all rooms in the main house have no AC, which is very uncomfortable during the summer months.
They are severely understaffed (especially when they have an event/wedding), with most employees being part-timers or new to the property. The staff was very friendly and polite, just overwhelmed.
The rooms(& bathrooms) could do with a little refurb.
Overall, great potential, but they could elevate the experience & property a lot more.
