The room was a wonderful size and i felt very cared for by all staff members. The spa facilities were lovely and i enjoyed a massage.
Room service was a little slow on occasions.
Rooms were clean and comfortable
Noise, lots of construction directly opposite the from creating noise. No proper coordination of breakfast at the restaurant across the road
Here's a polished review that keeps your key points while making it flow naturally:
Elephant Point Villa (Tintswalo 17) is worth every cent. It’s honestly difficult to find the words to describe how beautiful this villa is. From the spacious layout and comfortable beds to the privacy, fully equipped DStv, bookshelf, and heated private pool, everything about the property exceeded expectations. Every detail contributes to a luxurious and relaxing stay.
The food at the Elephant Point Hotel restaurant is genuinely very good. Unfortunately, the dining experience is let down by the way it is managed. The restaurant appears overly focused on maximizing revenue from the limited number of guests, often pushing set-menu options without offering customers much choice. On one occasion, we ended up spending R1,500 on breakfast because only a set menu was available.
There also seems to be a lack of clear communication between management and staff. Policies and arrangements appeared to change unexpectedly, and waiters were often unaware of these changes, resulting in unnecessary inconvenience for guests.
That said, I would absolutely recommend Tintswalo 17, especially if you have the option of booking a private chef. The villa itself is exceptional and delivers an unforgettable experience. It's just a shame that the restaurant's poor communication and unprofessional handling of customer interactions detract from what would otherwise be a flawless stay.
