Leuk oud hotel
De matrassen waren te zacht voor ons maar zal voor anderen helemaal goed zijn.
De badkamer kan wel een upgrade gebruiken maar functioneert nog prima.
Dog friendly
Nothing all good
Location is great. Hotel grounds are nice. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Rooms are a little dated. TV is basic (not a smart TV so no Netflix or YouTube). Breakfast service starts at 7am. This is a little late if you need to get on the road as a business traveller.
Outside area and lovely large room
Restaurant was a bit pricy for the quality
Beautiful grounds in a lovely location. Building has character but could do with a bit of TLC
The service was a bit hit and miss, and ‘pub’ area was great but the restaurant was disappointing compared.
Location just off M6 and in beautiful grounds. The food is first class and just the right proportions. Despite a few gripes, this is a lovely hotel, but definitely geared more for weddings
Music too loud at breakfast and massive, hot duvet - but of course some people like the heating on all the time!
The car chargers are Pod Point that not everyone uses and no opportunity to pay by card.
Location good room comfortable bed very scenic
Bedside light didn’t work
Table service was poor
Really lovely bedroom, great surroundings and fab breakfast!
Everything! The grounds were so lovely. We did alot of walking to discover the canal at the rear. Loved the pond at the front with all the ducks and swans.
There was nothing to dislike!
Location was great good parking great. Staff
Possibly if we could have had some tee or coffee on the self service along with some bread and butter rather than having to order it
The hotel is beautiful from every angle. Our room was spotless, and had a very comfy bed. Well kept gardens, outside seating, by the canal. Swans roam freely in the gardens and lake. It helped that the weather was great. Great place to stay.
Can't think of a single thing. If this hotel is not perfect, then I would like to see the one that is.
We were very surprised to be given a suite when we arrived at no additional cost
Nothing
All went well...stayed there before and it was to the same good standard
Nothing
Breakfast. I found I was able to have a lovely healthy breakfast, along with plenty of delicious coffee. The staff were so helpful and friendly. And, of course, we had a lovely view into the gounds of the hotel.
The only thing, really, was the lack of vegetables at dinner. The only side dish that was non-potato veggies, was buttered carrot and swede at £5.95. I'd bought a kilo of carrots in Aldi the previous week for 4p and swede for about 10p each in the special Easter deals from our supermarkets. I really would have preferred something GREEN.
I arrived just past 8pm and the restaurant was closed so I had to go into Stafford for dinner so can't rate dinner. But breakfast was good and the service was excellent.
Not being able to have dinner past 8pm was annoying.
Lovely Room, great location and freindly staff. Good Breakfast
