Convenient location to beak up a long journey home.
Pros:

Location was the main reason we booked as it was adjacent to the M6.

Cons:

The rooms clearly suffer from a lack of insulation which means noise pollution from adjacent rooms and corridor. Didn't realise pets were allowed and would have stayed elsewhere.

Excellent venue for a party
Pros:

We held a celebration dinner for over 100 people for an 80th birthday and all the staff involved were excellent. They were very responsive to our needs when planning the event.
At the event staff were attentive to our needs, the food and service was excellent and we only had positive comments from our guests about the whole event

Brilliant hotel, highly recommend!
Pros:

Really nice hotel, well situated for what we needed in the local area. Very quiet and spacious family room meaning we had plenty of space for our baby. Both the dinner and breakfast were great.

Excellent and relaxing lunch with friends
Pros:

I went to the Moathouse bar with three friends on Wednesday 18th Feb. We hadn't booked a table and the bar was quite full as a wedding was taking place in the restaurant. Laura, the waitress who greeted us was only able to offer us a table with high bar stools. As one of my friends and I had recently sustained broken shoulders we struggled to get ourselves seated. Laura went to a lot of trouble to secure another table for us which was perfect. We originally went for coffee which morphed into lunch and we didn't leave until 4om! Throughout our time there the service afforded by Laura was outstanding. She was cheerful, attentive but not instrusive and made sure everything was as we wanted it. The food was excellent (fish finger sandwiches to die for!) and the ambiance cosy and relaxing on a very chill day. We had such a good time! Thank you.

Fabulous afternoon tea
Pros:

Fabulous afternoon tea. Delicious and plentiful food, and my husband made the most of the extra sandwiches brought to each table. Unlimited pots of tasty tea. Waitresses were all very efficient and friendly. Couldn't fault it. Thank you for a delightful valentines adternoon. We'll be back.

Dog friendly
Pros:

Very good welcoming, we had booked the dog friendly bar for meal on a Saturday afternoon. We sat in front of a lovely log burning fire, where there was a bowel of water for our Cockapoo dog. The service was excellent, the food was great, I had the 10oz steak and my wife had the hake. It was one of the best steaks I have had. Everywhere was clean including the toilet. The manageress made sure we had everything we needed and was very pleasant. Also she made a fuss of our dog.It is a tad on the expensive side but we thought it was worth it. With drinks and a dessert it came to £82. We would definitely return
