Breakfast was ok
Coffees awful had to pay extra if you wanted a good coffee
Staff ok but i felt rushed by them
Room was good sized bit rundown needs attention
Radiators couldn't be turned off so bedroom hot
.
The place is very tired and needs a lot of work
The room we had was small and at the front of the hotel and therefore noisy. The chair in the room was stained. In the bathroom the tap in the basin first would not give us cold water and then stopped working completely.
The staff were great and did what they could to help with bottles of water.
Fantastic value for money! Staff were so friendly and helpful and the food delicious and again great value. All lovely and the - unexpected for me- Midsummer link very interesting. Only issue was shower not working but staff again were super helpful and having to have a bath not really a hardship. Have recommended to Barnaby fans for sure!
Friendly staff, property is a little tired though, could do with a makeover now
It’s a great location but seeing as I booked a suite I didn’t like being charged for parking…. Also the kettle was downstairs but tap up stairs…..the tv down stairs was not a smart tv….so to watch the smart tv I had to go upstairs!!
Lounge are downstairs was very uncomfortable
Lovely decorated room, very quiet
Good Hotel
Good staff
We had a great stay! Thank you, will stay again.
The Spreadeagle Hotel is ideally located on the main street in Thame.
The room was clean and pleasant with an outdoor seating area. The parking was convenient if not cheap.
I had intended to dine in the hotel restaurant on my one night stay, but there was no one around to welcome me, show me to a table, hand me a menu etc so I ate elsewhere.
Centre of town. Close to bars and restaurants.
Nice room. Clean and tidy with parking.
The only thing was no door on bathroom.
Have stayed there a few times and all as usual was fine .
Lovely hotel in the quiet market town of Thame, on the High Street with parking to the rear. Friendly staff and great rooms, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast in the morning was good. A great stay.
I have stayed here previously a few years ago now.But today it is looking rather tired.
It needs a refurbishment and bringing up to date. The tv didn't work very well the toiletries were in sufficient. there was a very loud noisey pump next to the bedroom wall.
The breakfast menu was very limited in its options.
Needfess to say i ate out every night during my stay.
Breakfast quality was great but we were made to feel unwanted and uncomfortable on one of the three mornings as we had a dog even though the table we had sat at before was available. Policy needs to be made clear to visitors and staff as we paid extra for dog friendly
Great location - friendly and helpful staff. Garden rooms are spacious and well equipped.
Lovely coaching inn with friendly staff
The staff at this hotel are great. All staff were helpful, professional and welcoming. Unfortunately, the hotel needs major refurbishment. The decorations are tired and worn, paint chipped, the heating is very wasteful and old.
We were pleased that our room had been upgraded, but we had to be moved, as the heating pipes for the radiator in the corridor outside were situated right behind the bed, making noise which made it difficult to sleep. The staff were very helpful in offering another room, but the radiators are difficult to control, so we had to have a window open in the middle of winter.
It is a shame that such good staff are working in a run-down environment that needs total refurbishment. You will find many little quibbles, such as bottomed-out chairs that need re-upholstering, just because everything needs overhauling.
The location is excellent, right in the centre of Thame, with lots of great cafes, restaurants and pubs.
Comfortable room and all we needed but hotel is a bit tired and breakfast was a bit of a disappointment
