Britannia Aberdeen Hotel

Had a fire in the hotel on the 4th floor after 9.40 pm. That floor was removed from use for obvious reasons. Fire was apparently caused by faulty equipment in the store room.

Booked a standard double but as given a twin single. In that room there was the smallest TV I have ever seen. I think tablets now days might be bigger.

The mattresses were new but could count every spring that was poking out.

Breakfast was overcooked.

I was later moved to a better room thanks to the staff.

This hotel needs a big time makeover and change in how it is run.

The hotel was like an oven. It made sleep hard to achieve. The room was clean but dated. The breakfast was great, the breakfast staff were incredibly helpful. She was so kind to my son. Showing him how to use the toaster. Very patient.
Wouldn’t stay again though.

Television not working and no instruction manual in room.

Very competitive on price, loved the meal deal of starter & main course plus a pint for £15.

You gets what you pay for. This is a budget hotel, which i chose for being dog-friendly and close to P&J arena. The staff were friendly and upgraded to a bigger room for the dog; this had one negative as it looked out onto a roof covered with rubbish, which i told the front-desk should be easily cleaned. No other issues.

I found the pillows quite hard. Sore neck noted would bring own pillow in future. Room was very warm. Even with fan on. Staff could not be more friendlier. I will be back in the near future . Food was excellent. Portion sizes very good. Originally booked through trivago and breakfast was 24 pounds but booking on site breakfast was 10 pounds. Not the hotels fault. It was quiet and other guests were very friendly.

Booked for son and grandson, who took 20mins at reception before anyone turned up. Full of workmen, some smoking weed outside reception, totally unacceptable. Handed key back and left. Tried to get refund without success.

Perfect for stay while relative in hospital. 8 minute's drive to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Room was spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Table with 2 chairs, dressing table and fridge in room. Plenty coat hangers and ironing board/iron. Breakfast was lovely. Couldn’t fault it for the price. Lovely peaceful room

Hotel was handy for my hospital visits and very reasonably
priced.

Spacious room, large bed. Modern bathroom.
Average in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Irregular room service.
Parking can be difficult on weekends.

The Hotel is best described as functional, O wouldn't book it for more than 1 night maybe 2 at an absolute push.

It's pretty dated and dilapidated however it's a good location for the TECA P&J live

There is a few fire doors broken and service voids open this is a fire hazard for a hotel that’s has a fire in the past this is a concern

Rooms red hot with no windows this must be a safety matter, tv not working the staff were really helpful but the rooms are terrible it’s not there fault

Arrived late reception was difficult to find area quite rundown
