Hotel Avenida Palace

Avenida Palace is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Pictures do not adequately portray the beauty of the hotel. It is exquisite. The staff were so kind and helpful. All staff members spoke perfect English and always graciously conversed with us in English. The breakfast buffet, served in a lovely room by a wonderful staff, includes many types of delicious pastries, hot foods, cheeses, meats, fruits, champagne and freshly squeezed juices. The breakfast staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. A warm smile from the host greeted us each morning and delicious cappuccinos were delivered to our table. The front desk staff and concierges were always helpful and eager to accommodate our family. The housekeeping staff were also great and even left chocolates in our room each day. The hotel is blessed to have such dedicated and professional employees. We would definitely stay at Avenida Palace again! Thank you so much for making our trip to Lisbon such a wonderful and memorable experience. We already miss the hotel and Lisbon!

Avenida Palace is a lovely old hotel. It's location is unbeatable, right in the beating heart of Lisbon. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fabulous. The lobby is grand, and there's live music every evening. Our room had a view if the castle. While very clean, the hotel is a bit outdated, with the decor of the rooms just ok. It is right next to the Metro, so there is persistent train noise.

We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. The architectural and decorative details and the history are amazing. The staff is wonderful, breakfast was excellent, and little surprises along the way were greatly appreciated. Could not have picked a better location. Highly recommend!

Great hotel, room on 4th floor was excellent. Bed very comfortable, bathroom a little dated but clean, shower was excellent. Breakfast was excellent, great selection, breakfast staff fabulous. Bar service wonderful but not excessive. Reception staff very friendly, we were allowed an early check in and also a late check out. Very central, possible to walk to 2 metro lines in minutes, only 45 mins from airport on metro. Would stay here again.

Fantastic stay! The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Perfectly located in the heart of Lisbon, it’s ideal for exploring the city. Highly recommend for anyone seeking comfort, elegance, and excellent service!

We first stayed here 40 years ago - and our 3rd stay was as good as the first! The breakfast is the best of any of the many hotels we've stayed in.

Avenida Palace is a lovely old hotel in an excellent location. Perfect place from which to explore Lisbon. The staff was incredibly helpful. Have already recommended this hotel to a friend.

I booked Avenida Palace based on their website review and I could not have been happier. The valet was immediately there when we pulled up and took care of our car, our luggage was brought to our room after we checked in he explained the details about the room. We were blown away by the quality of the furniture, amenities, cleanliness and linen. We had a junior suite and I absolutely loved having a separate sitting area from the bedroom area. The bathroom was so elegant and the towels were soft and pleasantly scented. There was a towel warmer in the bathroom which felt like such a luxury, and a robe. We got a fresh bottle of water every day. The breakfast was the best I have ever seen in a hotel. There were 5 people in the breakfast room making sure that all of our wishes were fulfilled, and then some. The room was very quiet and we were able to sleep really well. The bed was harder than I am used to but I got to liking it at the end. The lounge are at t he enrance is so elegant and they have musical performance each evening which we took advantage of. We had drinks and appetizers while we enjoyed the music. I have never had such a pleasant experience in a hotel and will certainly return there when we go to Lisbon again.

Beautiful historic palace hotel with exquisite bar, entrance, breakfast and service. Free valet parking with a staff that goes out of their way to assist. Hotel is located in historic area of Lisbon with upscale shops and restaurants in close walking distance. Breakfast was particularly excellent with fresh bakery items, fruit and wide selection of cheeses.

Avenida Palace is a world-class hotel with it all. It is beautiful, provides great service, has a tremendous staff and is in the best location for seeing all the sites. It is a classic with supeb accommodations.

We loved everything about this hotel. The way how they are concentrated to every detail and the overall feeling we had that they want to fulfill every guest´s wish is remarkable. It was also so pleasant to find small gifts and treats after almost every return to our room from strolls in the city. Breakfast are one of the best you can get in any 5 star establishment, with really quality products, fresh fruits, juices and excellent coffee. The second morning they even remembered that we wanted to have tea from fresh mint leaves which was unavailable during our first breakfast there, but promptly arranged on each of the next morning for us. We also loved overall historical ambient of the hotel and the feeling of air freshness and cleanliness in our room and everywhere in the hotel. Overall, if in Lisbon again, it is sure that we are only going to return to Avenida Palace Hotel.

Our five night stay at Hotel Avenida Palace in Lisbon was pure pleasure. Centrally located, lovely room with a walk in shower as requested, friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious and plentiful breakfast made this the perfect hotel. But what was exceptional was the daily and varied 7 p.m. musical performance in the beautiful bar lounge. What could be better than enjoying delicious bar food while listening to Fado, classical and Jazz performers. We look forward to returning soon.

My stay at Hotel Avenida Palace was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the grand entrance and stunning façade — the property truly looks and feels like a palace. The elegance of the building combined with its prime central location made the experience even more special.

The service was outstanding across the board. From the seamless check-in and check-out process to the attentive housekeeping team, every detail was handled with true 5-star professionalism. I genuinely felt like I was receiving royal treatment throughout my stay.

My room was spectacular, offering a lovely view and beautiful design touches. I especially appreciated how each floor had its own unique character, which added to the charm and sophistication of the hotel.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing. I’m not usually a big breakfast person, but I have to admit I fell in love with their breakfast service — the quality, variety, and presentation were superb and made each morning something to look forward to.

The only minor drawback was the afternoon tea, which felt overpriced for what was included. However, this was a small detail in what was otherwise a flawless experience.

Overall, I was extremely happy with my stay and would gladly return. I’m already looking forward to staying here again!

Staff were excellent and food was very good.

Good hotel in excellent location. Attentive and friendly staff. Classic hotel rooms with comfortable beds and fine linens. Bathrooms are adequately stocked with basic necessities. I don’t believe you can claim to be a 5 star hotel without full dining services. The only dining room service is breakfast although they did offer some in room choices. Other than that a good stay for us but not a great stay.

When we visit our children in London, Hotel Xenia becomes our home away from home. The facilities are amazing as well as the staff.

Отличный отель, не смотря на то что старенький, но это приятная старость, таким и должен быть городской отель. Отличное расположение. Завтрак очень хороший, есть и манго, и папайя, и авокадо, и клубника. И вид из зала для завтрака замечательный, только надо постараться сесть возле окна.
